Octavian stood before her content to bring her to the legion at knife point but Reyna was already having a hard enough day she wasn't about to be written up by an anemic loser.

Octavian was dressed in his golden armor with medals that decorated his chest, not as many as Telemachus she noted. She remembered from the temple of Jupiter that Octavian wasn't a demigod but a Legacy. Telemachus had called her that in the principia during her questioning before he knew any better. She figured it wasn't a positive term although she had no idea what it meant. Reyna knew she could best Octavian by any physical means but then again the legionnaire was such a child he'd probably go crying to either one of the praetors and she'd get expelled from the legion on her first day, but you know Reyna was all for setting records.

Finally she spoke "Look I didn't..."

Octavian cut her off "Save your explanations for the senate, did you know tampering with the Legions off record foundations is against Roman law and is punishable by expulsion?"

Yes, Reyna thought.

Octavian continued "You didn't see what the auguries foretold for you, Aaron doesn't see their full extent either, but I did. And hear me this, I will not let my home be torn by some lowlife such as yourself!" With every word he uttered he took a step towards the surprisingly stoic Reyna. "Don't think your mother gives you an advantage here. You are not even a full member of the legion yet. I am Centurion of the First cohort, Apprentice to the augur of the twelfth legion, and Legacy of Apollo, God of Prophecies I am not about to be bested by you!"

Reyna might have found his monologue pitiful if he weren't bellowing at her by the end. Octavian also managed to produce quite a bit of saliva when he spoke, Reyna had beads of spit all over her cheek. That was very unpleasant.

She took a breath then met his gaze. "Are you finished?" Octavian was taken aback by the amount of authority she carried in her voice. "I do not appreciate you barging in here and making assumptions."

As Reyna spoke she gently moved her way across the room trying to face the exit, purposefully not breaking eye contact. "I do not think that by any means you are the least bit qualified to call me a lowlife and threaten to expel me from the legion. Octavian you are only a legacy, not a true child of Rome and in fact every roman should feel ashamed that you call yourself one of them. Your Legion is out on the fields of battle defending its self and you are in here to try and reprimand not even a full member? This isn't just weakness, its cowardice." Reyna was at the door now, all she had to do was turn around and she could join the rest of the legion as it defended its city and those in it. "I am ready to defend Rome's Legacy, as a true member, but I'm not quite sure You are. Maybe its best you remain here until the battle has stopped that way maybe, just maybe, your sheer stupidity will not blind the legion and send us into a crippling spiral." Octavian's jaw had dropped. Reyna was on the verge of a smile, she reached into her pocked and brought out a purple Jolly Rancher she had nicked from the bowl earlier. She grabbed Octavian's hand and forced the candy into his palm. "To keep you occupied" with that she left an awestruck Octavian in the Principia and she turned to join the forces of Rome.
