"...leaving. We're leaving. Let's pack up. Looks like you, [Y|N] and me are taking a little vacation, forever." He heaved as he set the basket down, sighing in the process.

There's no way he was picked. Between him and Astrid, Gothi had to pick him! Of course. Sure, there were moments that he can definitely say were amazing feat he had done. But that doesn't mean that proves he can kill one.

He can't kill a dragon.

He wouldn't kill a dragon.

For Odin's sake, he's only been getting by the whole training from just learning about them! Yup, best course of action here now is fleeing. Permanently. He just got to wait for [Y|N] to get back after distracting the mobs who clung to him after the whole picking fiasco.

Shiiink!

A metallic sound snapped Hiccup back out of his spiraling,  startling him. Looking up, there he saw Astrid, perched on the boulder in front of him, sharpening the blade of her axe.

Shi—

"Aggh! What the—" The brunette jumped back, almost tripping over a rock. He looked around, checking if there were anyone around aside from the blonde. Specifically, if Astrid had seen who was in the cove.

Gods, he'd love for you to show up right about now.

"What—What are you doing here?" Hiccup stammered out, his hands unsure where to settle until it rested awkwardly on his waist.

"I wanna know what's going on," The blonde viking threw the rock and slides off the boulder, twirling the axe in her hand. Astrid got closer, Hiccup backs up. She honed in on him as she speaks, "No one just gets as good as you do. Especially, you."

Ouch. Okay.

"Starting talking!" she demanded and with that scary of axe hers, he might've. "Is this where your weird friend trains you?"

His eyes kept darting around, his focus all over the place to properly take in the girl's words. "Uh...training?" He asked, not entirely sure what to say.

This is really bad. Like really, really bad.

His heart hammered, his mind unspooling. What does he even do in this situation?

She grabs him by the harness, bringing him closer and inspecting the leather across his chest more on the judgmental side. "It better not involve...this,"

He flinched at that. She's perceptive.

"I know this looks really bad, but you see...this is, uhh.." Hiccup desperately grasped on what to reply to Astrid's bombardments. Unfortunately for him, he was not quick enough.

A rustle in the bushes over the other end of the cove instantly caught her attention. Oh no.

Without hesitation, she drops him and beelined to investigate. No, no, no, no, no—

He scrambled to get up, panic-stricken, "You're right! You're right. I'm through with the lies. I've been making..." Think, Hiccup. Think! "..outfits!" Well. That's an excuse, alright.

"So you got me. It's time everyone knew." He continued, taking Astrid's hand and putting it back to the harness, using his body in a poor attempt of blocking her view. Him being shorter than her and all. "Drag me back. Go ahead. Here we goo—"

Annoyed from his efforts, the blonde teen took his wrist and twist his hand backwards, a loud disgusting snap of bones slicing through the almost quiet cove. The pain was too much handle, his body reflexively bended back along his poor hand and into the ground.
