It All Started Like This... (Eren X Mikasa)

Chapter 8: Under The Stars

-Friday (At Night)-

Eren's POV:

I couldn't ask Mikasa out today. I couldn't even try. I'm such a sad person aren't I?

I was washing the dishes normally, right after dinner ended with my family. I was at the sink humming to the tune of my favorite anime opening song, "Crossing Field." I looked out the window and enjoyed the nice view of the street and the houses, so calm and quiet at night. I finished washing and started drying them off before I put the dishes back in the cupboard.

I put away the last of the dishes and was about to walk out of the kitchen when in the corner of my eye, I saw one of the street lights go out. Huh?

I went back to the window and saw the rest of the street lights going out one by one until the street became dark. The lights in everyone's houses started going out to, even the light in the kitchen went out and left me in complete darkness. Luckily, I had my phone on me, so I took it out and touched the flashlight app. The light beam from my phone lit up the area in front of me. As soon as it turned on, my mom popped out of nowhere, like a ghost, and I jumped back frightened. I fell on the floor, hitting my head on the hard wooden floor.

"Did I scare you?" She asked.

"Ha ha. Very funny Mom," I said sarcastically. "By the way, where is Dad?"

"He's in the bedroom looking for flashlights. You are okay right?"

"Yeah, I am," I replied. My phone buzzed and showed a news alert. There was a power outage that couldn't be fixed until morning. I groaned. Soon after, I received a call from Armin.

"Hey Armin! Is the power in your house out too?" I asked.

"Yeah. There's like a major power outage in the entire area."

"Like I couldn't tell," I told Armin sarcastically.

"Hey you better check up on Mikasa! I think both of her parents are working at the hospital right now."

"How would you know that?" I asked him.

"My grandparents are at the hospital and they were checked on by some doctors that may have been Mikasa's parents. If she is alone at home, you have to check on her. She might be in danger!" Armin hanged up after that. What he said could be true. I just had to check.

I called her but she wasn't answering. Now I was getting really worried. I ran up the stairs to where my Dad was and saw that he had found all of the extra flashlights he keep in case of emergencies.

"Dad! I seriously need to check on Mikasa! She's at home alone and Armin said that she could possibly be in danger." I may be over exaggerating but I didn't want to risk the possibility that she was in danger.

"Alright Eren. Take two flashlights with you and make sure to call us when you get there," he told me calmly. He then left the room to see my mom. I took two of the flashlights on the dressers and rushed out the door. Down the stairs, past the kitchen and out of the front door I went. What I saw when I finally got out the door...

Aliens! Or metal UFOs covering the night sky! Beams of light flashed from them and it started pulling some objects off the ground into their ships. The light posts bended upward and got pulled out with loud creaks off of the sidewalk. People were pulled through their windows and doors. Cars levitated off the ground. It seemed like earth's gravity was reversed causing everyone to fly upward out of their house and things to bend or levitate off the ground into the sky! One of the flashing beams was shining on me and soon, I too was pulled off the ground. I tried looking around to grab on to, but it was already too late. The UFOs started flying away into the sky and on through space. My arms were out trying to reach my beloved home, but I was sucked into one of the UFOs. Oh how bad this was... If it was real.

I was just kidding. This didn't obviously happen like many of you thought. But back to the story. What I actually saw was the night sky filled with so many stars and the moon. Since all the lights were out, it was much easier to see the starry sky than usual.

The sight was just amazing! The stars looked like white dots twinkling in a pitch black sky. A little bit of purple and white was there too with the stars, making me assume that this was the Milky Way Galaxy. It was beautiful as Mikasa... Wait, Mikasa!

I had almost forgotten about her when I saw the stars in the sky. I was about to run off to her house but then I realized, I still don't have her address! I called her again and this time she answered.

"Help..." Mikasa said in a troubling voice.

"Are you in danger? Hold on! I'm coming to save you! Where is your house?" I asked panicking.

"6969 Hen Tie Street..."

"Hold on Mikasa! Whatever trouble you are in, I'm coming to help you!" I hanged up and started putting Mikasa's address into Goople Maps and realized that her house was far away. I had no time to lose! I had to get there to save Mikasa from whatever trouble she's in!

I started running as hard as I could to get to her house. I ran down streets, past the rows of houses, across some small bridges, and over the hills and rocks. With the two flashlights in my hand, I didn't slow down or stopped during the way there. I looked at Goople Maps again and it told me that I was halfway there. I continued on, across the street intersections, around the corners, and through the alleyways.

I kept on running when I turned at the corner and saw Mikasa's house there at the finish line. I collapsed on the front yard of her house. I was really tired but I still needed to find Mikasa. I checked the sign on the front of the house. It definitely said, "6969". I knew I was at the right place. I knocked on the front door and heard some groaning from inside. It was obvious that she wouldn't be able to answer the door so I looked for another way in.

I scoped out the front side of the house, but saw no point of entry. The right side of the house was blocked off by a wooden fence so I looked around the left side.

Yes! I found an open window on the second floor. I found a way to get in but HOW was I going to get up there? I looked around for a ladder and coincidentally there was one behind her shed. I placed it against the wall and climbed up. I crawled through the window and fell into the room.

I was in! Now to save Mikas- Wait a second... What is this weird thing that I fell on? I turned on the flashlight and pointed it down at the floor. I quickly jumped up and trying to get away from it but I ended up getting a nosebleed and a red face anyway.

Did you want to know what I landed in? I think this was Mikasa's room. It had to be! Because what I landed in was a pile of dirty panties and bras...

A/N: Well this was a fun chapter to write! I hope you guys liked the jokes that I put in here. But seriously, I can not stop laughing. Oh well... By the way, before any of you comment on it, I put Goople Maps instead of Google Maps because of fun copyright issues.
