Chapter 14: Planning Something?

A/N: Sorry for the delay! I've been stuck with homework and projects so I couldn't work on these chapters until now. But anyway, I'm afraid to admit that I've gotten writer's block for my other fanfic The New Lovers (even though the fanfic was left on a critical moment). I know so much of you were looking forward to another chapter weeks ago and I apologize for that. I'll try to think of something but for the meantime, just read this latest chapter...

Eren's POV:

I walked upstairs and went to my bedroom. I was really tired and wanted to go to sleep. But I couldn't because of my homework. Why couldn't I just do this tomorrow?

I sighed and sat down at my desk. I went on my computer and did my homework which was boring but I had to deal with it.

In the middle of homework, an email popped up. It came from Mikasa's Mom which wasn't unexpected. I think she knows a lot more about me than myself about I just didn't care about it.

"What more to the story is there?" I wondered. I clicked on the email and read what was on there.

"Dear Eren," I read in my head. "I'm sorry for not telling you more of the story but it wasn't much to tell you about. It was just about the effects of abuse that Mikasa had to endure. So, here is what you probably didn't know...

When Levi was abusing Mikasa, she didn't know what to do. She had asked for help but no one believed her except for us parents. We tried confronting Levi but of course, his parents didn't believe that he would do such things, and again no evidence was found by the police either. Somehow Jean and Levi are really just good at not leaving any traces of what they did to Mikasa which personally makes me angry. I believe her more than those two but we tried everything.

One day, Levi told her that she would stop being abused if she was seductive to him. She tried doing that but it wasn't enough for him. He kept on persuading her to do it again so much that it became a habit. When Jean saved her, she forgot about the habit almost entirely. She accidentally becomes seductive once in awhile but usually never. But it can be triggered if she says yes to dating someone in the heat of the moment. Again, this is part of her trauma and she doesn't remember it. As doctors, and her parents, we are treating it but it hasn't disappeared fully yet. What's even worse is that Jean and Levi have come back. So I'm sorry to put all of this on you but if you become her boyfriend, you better look after her. She can be a handful.

Wow. This was very detailed and interesting. But wait... this doesn't make sense. If she knows all of this too, why haven't the police done something, like arrest them for abuse or something?

My head hurts now. I couldn't continue my homework and lied down on the bed. I had enough of Jean and Levi. They did so much to Mikasa, that I just want to get revenge. But what could I do that would stop them? I sighed heavily and just stared at the ceiling for hours...

Mikasa's POV:

I hung up on my mom and sat down on the couch. I can't believe she made me tell her everything that happened today. But it was strange how I just suddenly forgot what happened after I said yes to dating Eren. Oh well. I don't think it was anything important.

However, I was now a little happy now that I was dating Eren. I was even excited for the date. Maybe I should start worrying about what to wear on the date. Is it too earlier to think about that?

I just shook off the thought and turned on the TV. I decided to relax before the episode came on. I wouldn't do my homework until latertonight so I had time to kill...

-The Next Morning-

I walked to school as normal and got there just as the bells started ringing. I managed to reach my class in time and sat down at my desk.

For some reason, I felt like there was something strange today. I couldn't find the reason for it so I decided to look around the classroom and saw that Jean and Levi were staring at me. It creeped me out for a long time. Then they suddenly grinned and turned around at the same time.

When class was over, I went to find Eren. He was talking with Armin outside the guy's restroom.

"Hey Eren, can I talk with you for a second?" I asked.

"Sure. I'll talk to you later Armin," he replied. He smiled and walked away.

"So what did you want to talk about Mikasa?"

"Well, it was what I noticed in class today..."

"Hmm?" Eren looked confused.

"I sat down at my desk when the bells rang and Jean and Levi turned around to stare at me weirdly and smiled."

"That is strange," he remarked. "Do you think that Jean and Levi could be up to no good this time?"

"Maybe," I replied. It was uncertain on what their plan was.

"We'll just look out for them. I'll protect you for real, so don't worry," said Eren. It made me blush and made my face even more red when he hugged me. I don't know why but I feel more different around Eren then when I was with Jean or Levi. I hope they aren't going to do something bad this time...
