It All Started Like This... (Eren X Mikasa)

Chapter 15: Jean's Plan

-After School-

Jean's POV:

Once the bell rang, I stood up at the same time as Levi and we both rushed out the door.

"The back of the school, under the tree..." I whispered into his ears. He nodded and went a different route. I continued along my way when I bumped into someone.

"Oops. I'm sorry-" I looked at who I bumped into and realized it was Mikasa.

"What do you want Jean?" she stuck back. I was dumbfounded. I hadn't talked to her in awhile (I was deep into planning) and she already changed this much. Then again, she started to date Eren for real so...

I could suddenly hear the hurried footsteps of a certain someone...

"Mikasa, are you okay? I just finished talking to the teach- Wait, Jean? You didn't do anything to her?" Eren asked with a fierce look on his face.

"Nope. Not at all," I calmly replied backing away with a straight face. I turned and started to walk to the tree. "Not at all...."

Levi's POV:

I sat down beneath the big tree, the meeting spot. It was actually kind of nice here. It's amazing though that sweet Mikasa and that stupid Eren were sitting here. How I resent Eren so much! I just want to kick him in the face and leave it to my "horse" brother to take care of him. I did realize later, that I may have been so cruel to Mikasa before, but with Jean that doesn't matter anymore. We made a plan to take Mikasa back! I don't think Eren will see what-

"Hey! Don't zone out!" I looked up and saw Jean staring in my face. I never noticed him... but then again I was sort of daydreaming...

"So are we finally ready for the plan?" I asked Jean, casting my thoughts aside.

"Why else would we meet here?"

"True, true," I replied. "So when do we carry out the plan?"

"Soon. We just need to find the right opportunity... Hey I got an idea!" Jean exclaimed, a light bulb shining brightly above his head.

"You," Jean started. "will talk to Eren and see what he is doing so far for this week, maybe this month if there isn't enough going on."

"Why do I have to talk to Eren?" I furiously asked Jean. "Besides won't he suspect I'm up to something?"

"That's why you have to pretend that you are trying to become good. Make it seem like you want to join Eren's side and leave me. That will also possibly guarantee us that he may tell us some important information," he replied confidently.

"What important information?" I questioned.

"You'll see..."

-Night-

Eren's POV:

"What is it Levi? Why did you call me out here?" I asked curiously. "It's 12 at night and I want to go back to sleep."

"Don't worry!" he reassured me. "I won't take up much of your time. It's just that I have started to..."

"Started to what?"

"Change," he replied. "I have been pondering a lot and I have started to realize that I may have a bit too cruel to Mikasa in the past..."

"Oh... YOU DON'T SAY!!!" I yelled sarcastically. It may have been too loud though because I saw some lights turn on in a couple of the houses.

"I know, I know. That's why I'm seeking your help! I want to help you fight against Jean who is the real problem at hand. I want a chance to redeem myself!" he exclaimed proudly. I don't know whether or not to trust this guy after all that has happened already. It might be a trap...

"So what do you say?" Levi asked. Shouldn't I think more about this? What if Mikasa becomes in danger after this? What if..... I got it!

I simply replied, "Sure! But you better help me out, alright?" I actually had a secret strategy in mind now.

"Thanks! I appreciate it!" He smiled. I hope this works....
