It All Started Like This... (Eren X Mikasa)

Chapter 18: True Date (Valentine Special)

Mikasa's POV:

Wow! I can't believe that tomorrow is the date! It's only been two days since it was my birthday and I got the special red scarf from Eren. I wore it a lot even if it wasn't cold. But I'm so excited for this date! I wonder what I should wear? 

Maybe I should wear the red dress with frills or how about a black shirt with pants and a green jacket? No... that would be bad. Hmmm.... It's just so hard to figure out what to wear! Especially if it's on Valentine's Day! 

Eren moved the date a day later just to coincide with Valentine's Day. I liked how he did that! It seems more romantic and the timing was good!

I continued to look through my closet and kept preparing for the date....

-The Next Day-

Eren's POV:

Finally! Today's the day! I'm so nervous right now.... I keep sweating bullets.

I looked at my watch and noticed it was already 11:50. I was running on over to our meeting spot at the entrance of the mall. It's so funny how we were just here the other day. 

Of course I plan to take her to other places but I thought it would be nice to start at the mall first. Bringing her here the other day really gave me experience and preparation. I saved up lots of money and remembered to bring my wallet. Hopefully, Mikasa doesn't go overboard here before we go anywhere else. 

As I got there, I noticed Mikasa was already sitting on a bench by the entrance. I started to blush immediately. She was so cute! 

She was wearing a black and white striped dress that goes above her knees that hugged her body nicely showing off her curves with a dark green jacket unbuttoned over it and wearing black boots. A kawaii cat purse was also wrapped around her. I managed to calm myself down before I lost self-restraint (this is a reference).

"Hey Mikasa! I'm sorry for making you wait!"

"Not at all! I just got here," she replied.

"But there was still 10 min before the meeting time," I remarked.

"Well, but still.... I was just so excited for this date."

Miksasa's POV:

Actually.... I lied. I was already waiting for Eren at 11:30. I just didn't want him too feel bad for making me wait. 

"Mikasa," Eren started to say. "You look very cute today." 

I blushed and felt embarrassed to hear that. I stood up and grabbed his hand. I pulled him with me and ran inside the mall to start our date.

"Hey Mikasa! Slow down! We should have enough time to visit all the stores you want!" 

I already knew that and just laughed.....

We went to the food court first and ate at Marco's Pizza where there was an amazing sale today. All the pizzas were half off! When we sat down at a table and ate the pizza, I accidentally got pizza sauce on my mouth and didn't notice until Eren leaned in closer to me and wiped it off with his thumb. My face turned red and my heart kept pounding when he did that. I don't know why. 

We also got some snacks from Connie's Spring Rolls and Sasha's Potato Fries. I have to say... the fries were very good.

After lunch was finished, we went over to some shops and picked out clothing for each other. Of course, Eren offered to carry all of the bags full of clothing but I only gave him half of it. I didn't want to be so mean to him even though he is just being nice. After visiting the other shops and getting more merchandise, we went over to Titan Arcade. 

Eren and I kept competing against each other in the games. But I still beat him in almost all of them. I beat him in dancing, shooting, racing, and lots more. The only thing Eren beat me was the games you can only win with luck. He won every time winning lots of plushies. In fact he got me a duck plushie, which was so kawaii! 

"Hey, Mikasa! We pretty much visited every store here. I want to take you someplace special!" said Eren as he held my hand. We both walked out of the mall and across the street with Eren leading the way. After passing a few businesses and offices, Eren finally stopped in front an ice cream shop.

"So what's special about this Eren?"

"You'll see," he replied.

Eren's POV:

Mikasa will be in for a surprise. She doesn't know that I am friends with the owners of this renowned ice cream shop that can only be found locally in our town. But of course Mikasa doesn't know that.

"Yes! They have the special ice cream today!" I exclaimed when I saw the menu for today. Mikasa looked confused just as I expected her to be.

"What would you like to get today sir?" asked the clerk. 

"Well, we would like to get the Double Owner's Scoop please," I replied proudly. The clerk just looked at me and then smiled.

"I presume you are friends with Bertholdt and Reiner?" asked the clerk.

"Yep. Are they here?" Mikasa looked very startled and was wondering what the heck was happening.

"No, but I will get your ice cream," replied the clerk as he went into the backroom. Mikasa and I went over to a table and sat down.

"Hey Eren, are you really friends with the owners of this place?" Mikasa curiously asked.

"Yep. And you should know them as well because they are our upperclassmen."

"Woah. Seriously? I never knew that." She smiled and laughed. 

"That's so hard to believe!" 

"I know right? But it's true!" To be honest they are more like co-owners. Their parents who is sharing the business together had just retired and are giving the reins to their sons who are also friends. They are going to inherit the business one day.

"Hey sir! Your ice cream is ready!" shouted the clerk. I got up and went over to the counter.

"Thanks. Here's a tip," I said giving him a few dollar bills as I picked up the ice cream. I brought it over to our table where Mikasa was surprised. In my hands was a giant bowl of chocolate ice cream (10 scoops to be exact) with lots of chocolate chips, cookie pieces, candy and hot fudge sauce. 

"Wow. That is a lot of ice cream. How much did this cost?" she questioned.

"Nothing. It was free."

"Really?" She was stunned. But that didn't change anything. Giving a spoon to Mikasa, we ate the ice cream together and talked until the sun was already setting.....
