First Day of School
Today's the first day back and our sophmore year, Donnie left a couple of weeks ago and Jacob and his friends are still on their road trip but a change of plans meant they never came back to get us.
Asia: Sophmore year ayye.
Javi: The first day hasn't even started yet.
Lily: Wow already.
I point to a poster for this year's homecoming. Last year as freshmen we weren't allowed to go but now that it's sophmore year we're allowed to go.
Asia: Hey look, the theme is "A Royal Night Out".
Drew gets down on one knee.
Drew: You wanna go to homecoming with your prince charming.
Asia: Of course I do baby.
They hug and kiss.
Javi taps me on the shoulder.
Javi: What about you? You wanna go with your prince charming?
Lily: I will when he comes.
Javi: You play too much.
We go inside.
Drew: Thanks for the ride Lily.
Lily: No problem.
I drove them to school today.
We go over to our lockers mine has a not in it reading "meet me by your car- C"
Lily: I'll see you guys in first period.
Javi: Where are you going?
Lily: I just got a note telling me that I'm blocking a parent.
Javi: Oh ok.
I take the note Chres left and shove it in my pocket.
I start walking out to where I'm parked, Chres is leaning on my car.
Chres: Hey baby girl.
Lily: For the 500th time I'm not your baby girl.
Chres: Yeah whatever you think you can come round my place tonight round seven?
Lily: Why?
Chres: I need you to pick some stuff up for me tonight.
Lily: What?
He hands me a list and I read it out loud.
Lily: Doughnuts, pretzels, nachos, dip, toilet paper. What is this?
Chres: Snacks for tonight's poker night.
Lily: And the toilet paper?
Chres: Groceries.
Lily: I have a cheer meeting tonight.
Chres: I know you're captain and she says it's cool if you miss out on this one.
It's true, he did know our new captain Cassie, I sometimes suspected if something was going on between them but I didn't want to start anything.
Lily: But I wanted to go we're ordering new gear.
Chres: That's too bad.
When I want my way with Chres or pretty much any boy I use the puppy dog face.
