Faint whispers woke me up.

"We can't keep her here," A voice man's  voice said.

"We don't make that choice, Arcadian," A girl's voice warned the man, "He said to wait until she wakes up."

"What if she has a pack? They'll come looking for her."

"So what?"

"They'll kill us if they find her here."

I opened my eyes and made a slight grunt because of the pain. In a matter of seconds, the two people talking came into view. The man whose name was Arcadian had short blonde hair, was tall in stature to match his muscular build, and a had look of concern on his face. Next to him was a girl with dark brown hair, kind blue eyes, and a big smile.

"Hey, how are you feeling?" She greeted. I stared at her. Whoever these people were, they were rogues. I could smell it off of them, but they weren't like any other rogues that I'd met. They weren't vicious, cruel, and animalistic as I remembered them to be. At least, they didn't appear to be.

"Everything hurts," I answered honestly. I glanced around, taking in that I wasn't in a cage, but a medical room of some sort. I saw the sun peering through the window, the first day I was above ground. "Where am I?" I asked the girl.

"Louisiana," She responded. I gave a relieved sigh, knowing that I wasn't across the world, "Do you know who you are?"

"Kenya," I introduced myself.

"Kenya," She repeated, "Hi, I'm Anna and this is-" She gestured toward the man.

"Arcadian," I interrupted, "I heard you say his name." I attempted to sit up, but pain shot through my body and I screamed in pain, slamming back down on the bed I was lying in.

"Hey, take it easy, will you?" Arcadian interjected, "You aren't healing and you're in really bad shape."

"Why aren't you healing?" Anna asked as she grabbed a pillow from a nearby closet and positioned it behind my head.

"Because she's like me." A deep voice answered and we all turned our attention to the door to see a tall guy, same kind of build as Arcadian but with more defined features and a darker skin tone. He walked into the room and stood by the bed, and again flashes of him appeared. "Give us the room," The man commanded.

Arcadian grabbed Anna's hand and marched the two of them out. He closed the door.

The man pulled a chair from the corner of the room and set it next to the bed. Looking at the man as he sat, I felt as if I knew him, but I couldn't understand how. Normally, I would have found a way to get away from him, but I oddly felt as if I could trust him. It could have been because he was the first Lycan I'd seen in a while, besides my father. Speaking of him, this man looked fairly similar to him, except he had peaceful light brown eyes rather than ones filled with rage and fury.

"Kenya, that's your name?"

"Yeah,"

"Do you remember me?" He asked. I began wracking my brain, trying to give him an answer I couldn't find. I shook my head no and he nodded in disappointment. "Right, well I'm Jack. Your brother."
