The boat ride was killing me, and I was contemplating jumping out and swimming the rest of the way just to get to her, but I could see the pack house behind a few trees. When Rachael told me that she found Kenya, I honestly felt better than I had in weeks, and the news of her return sent me over the edge. My wolf and I craved to have her in our arms again, feeling incomplete without her. And now that Kenya was back, there was no way in hell we were letting her out of our sight again. As soon as the boat pulled into the dock, I climbed out and sprinted to the pack house.

I charged through the door, almost causing it to come off of its hinges, and could hear Kenya in the house. It sounded like she was upstairs. I headed straight for the stairwell, only to be blocked by Anthony.

A growl escaped my lips as I fought the urge to throw him aside. He held out his hands and pushed me back. "I know what you're thinking of doing, Bruno. I would do the same if it was Isabella."

"Then why are you in my way?" I snapped as my wolf surfaced. I stepped forward, but Anthony remained in his place, standing his ground.

"Bruno, you can't just force her," He tried to dissuade me, but there was no changing my mind. I shoved Anthony this time and he held me by the collar. I wasn't able to free myself from his grasp. "If you mark Kenya and she's unwilling, she may never forgive you."

Yes, I planned on marking Kenya, whether she was willing or not. This was something my wolf and I wanted, something we needed.

I ripped his hands off and proceeded around him, following Kenya's scent up to her old room. I pushed the door open to see her and Rachael laughing, having a conversation, but their attention quickly became drawn to me and the laughter died. Kenya could sense that my wolf was on edge and told Rachael to leave. The witch nodded her head in understanding and snapped her fingers, disappearing into thin air.

I approached Kenya as she stood. I stopped as soon as we were touching and I raked my eyes over her. A smile found its way on her face and I melted, all of my worries starting to fade. Kenya was finally where I wanted her to be - next to me.

I placed a single finger under her jaw and brought her lips to mine, hungrily kissing her. I wrapped my arms around my mate's waist and pulled her into me. She placed her hands on my chest and I growled in pleasure, hoisting her up to which she instinctively encased her legs around me. As I pushed us up against a wall, our lips moved in sync, both of us fighting for dominance. I ran my hands down to her butt then squeezed.

I was losing control. She moaned as I began to kiss her smooth skin, leaving a trail of kisses down her neck. I was trying to keep my wolf pleased with just the taste of her skin, but her scent became too intoxicating. My teeth extended, preparing to mark her.

This is for her own good, My wolf and I both agreed, She'll understand.

I grazed the surface, but before I could go any further, the door to Kenya's room flung open. The stench of a rogue filled my nostrils and I set Kenya down, putting her behind me. I wasn't going to let him take her again.

I watched the rogue who entered. He was tall, dark in skin, and resembled Kenya closely. His bandaged hands were up in the air, as if he wasn't going to attack, but I wasn't willing to take any chances.

"So, Kenya, this is your mate?" The mutt's heartbeat matched the sound of a stampede. "He seems...nice."

Kenya peeked over my shoulders, comfortable with the rogue standing in front of us. I snarled at their interaction.

"Don't speak to her," I commanded. He jumped back.

"Bruno, stop, you're scaring him." She pulled at my clenched fist, attempting to ease my rage.
