Days later, Kenya was in her new cell pacing back and forth, worried about her pack, her mate, and her friends. The scene of her brother's death replayed over and over again in her mind. The thought of Jack's neck snapping caused Kenya to become light headed; she sat at the edge of her bed positioned in the corner of the prison to steady herself.

Only seconds passed before the large metal door that kept her contained slid to the side, her attention being drawn to her father. He was once again in a business suit and had a smile plastered on his face. He approached his daughter like she was prey. She stood, knowing it was time.

"Come, today you will be made invincible." He put his hand out for her to take.

Kenya shook her head no. "Please, don't force me to do this," She pleaded, "What would we gain from killing innocent people?"

"Power, my daughter, power and our rightful place among these people. We are better than they are, so it is only right for us to rule them."

"I told you I won't do it," She snarled as she clenched her fists.

"You don't have a choice. Refuse me and your mate and your friends will die." Brutus warned Kenya. She bit her lip, she didn't want anyone else to die. "I've seen and I know your weaknesses, Kenya. It's incredible how...how much you've changed over the years. Centuries ago you wouldn't even have considered the lives of others. And now? It's all you can think about. What happened to you?"

"I wanted more than just blood on my hands," She snapped, "I never wanted to become a monster like you."

"Oh, you foolish girl." Brutus rushed to Kenya and grabbed her arm. "You're already like me...the only difference, my pet, is that you hide." He squeezed the terrified wolf's arm; she grimaced in pain. "You hide behind your pack, your mate, your friends, and all your efforts of fighting for anything good. But when it all comes down to it, you're nothing but a monster, a lethal weapon, and a cold blooded killer. Just. Like. Me." Brutus then cast her to the floor, before waving at the entrance. Brendon entered along with a few other men.

The wizard carried the medallion, a knife, and single candle. The men picked Kenya up, forced her into the center of the room, and pushed her down on her knees. Brendon lit the candle and set it down beside her.

Kenya thrashed as a final attempt to escape the spell, but it was no use. A guard grasped her hand, turning it palm side up, and Brendon slit the she wolf's skin. Blood oozed from the cut. The wizard took the blood and smeared it on Kenya's cheeks and forehead.

Meanwhile, he chanted, lifting the medallion that began to glow. Kenya's screams began to fill the air. Her brown orbs changed into a dark red, her yelling soon turned into a howl, and her bones began to crack and shift.

The two men released her and she hunched over into a ball. Her father looked down as his daughter began to shift into her new form. Brutus instructed everyone to leave as Kenya banged on the floor. Brendon stayed in place as he looked to Brutus. "What's happening to her? It's like she's being torn apart."

"Something like that." Brutus smiled before grabbing Brendon by the shoulder and leading him out of the room, shutting the door behind the both of them. The two started down the hallway. "The medallion is working, giving her more strength and taking away her weaknesses."

"What exactly are her weaknesses?" Brendon questioned, scared to know the answer.

"The same flaws we all share - love and humanity," He replied as he walked outside of his warehouse, "Benevolence and kindness...it all makes us vulnerable. The medallion is just doing us a favor by taking her frailties away. That is the price for using a weapon such as this." He gazed at the medallion in Brendon's grasp. "In a few hours, Kenya will be an unstoppable source of power, under my control." He held his hand out, expecting Brendon to give it over.
