Your Pov:
My body woke on something soft. I slowly peeled my eyelids open to see grey clouds. My fingers played with the all too familiar grass blades. I smiled and sat up stretching out feeling well. "Your finally up, sleeping beauty" Sting's voice rang. I looked down next to me. His head was relaxed on his hands behind him. His legs were crossed as he laid in the grass. A long piece of dried grass sticking out from his lips.
"How are you feeling?" Rogue asked from behind me. I looked over my shoulder and saw him holding Fro in his arms as he slept peacefully. I smiled, "Better. How about you two?"
"Good," Rogue said looking down at Fro.
"My head still is hurting a little but better," Sting sat up. His elbows rested on his knees, with his feet crossed. I hummed the beat to the song from earlier and stood up completely. I loosened the grip of my backpack. I started to walk the journey towards the monster town. Here I come monsters, watch out.
"HEY! WHERE ARE YOU GOING?!" Sting yelled at me.
I put up a peace-sign over to the side of my body, not stopping "To help the town."
"Wait up!" Sting started to run to catch up to me. Rogue appeared next to me out of no where. I clenched my chest, "Don't do that! You scared me!"
He shrugged, "Sorry but I didn't feel like running." I looked at him questioning. He pointed to the blue less sky, "Everything around us is the cloud's shadows. I'm a shadow dragon slayer." I gave a 'I-get-it' oh and smiled, "That's pretty cool."
Lector -who was flying behind us- said, "Hey guys... How come the sky is black?"
I shrugged, "probably because most of the monsters can't see with the sun, are allergic to the sun, or just don't like the sun so they put up a cloud barrier."
"Tch I knew that, (Y/N)," Lector said with sass.
"Thank you," I smiled to myself.
"For what?"
"Calling me by my name, and not 'woman' or 'lady'."
"Wh-whatever lady..." He said sticking his nose in the air, keeping his head held high.

We were walking down the long stone road into the town. Fog danced along the ground as a strong stench filled my sense of smell. I stopped in my tracks and sniffed the air. *Sniff* snake...*Sniff* spider... "What is it?" Sting asked. "Snakes, spiders... I'm not quite sure..." I opened my eyes adjusting them into heat thermal. Tons of cold bodies laid in the houses and buildings. Long lengthy monsters, thick and thin, were flying in the air or slithering on the ground. White patterns crossed over the roads as giant arachnids hung above. Where are you? I strained myself to keep looking for the children... or anyone... My eyes started to burn so I shook my head turning my vision back to normal.
I started walking again. We were at the entrance of the town finally. The boys were about to step into the town, "Wait."
"Now what?" Sting sighed. I grabbed a pebble from the ground and threw it into the town's street. It didn't even touch the ground before thick webs engulfed it. We all look up to see a white spider with red eyes. Red eyes... it can't see very well. I whispered, "Moon dragon slayer; Crescent cut."
I raised my hand and swung it around 8 times then retreated it back to my side. All you could hear was the cutting of the spiders legs. I pulled my arms back and punched the air in front of me. Yellow goo spewed from the spider's head in between its many eyes, dead. The white webs popped into the air as part of the black clouds fell into nonexistence. I snapped my finger calling the spell off, and proceeded down the road. The boys followed my lead but Lector stopped in front of the spider and waved his paw where the final stab was looking for a blade of some sort finding nothing. "Mmph..." He kicked the spider in the face, "Shouldn't have messed with us!"
Just down the street I stopped again and looked up smelling the air again. I whipped myself around looking at the building we just passed, something changed... Sting sniffed the air, "I smell humans... they're not dead." I ran to the buildings close to the entrance and forced the door open. I looked around and found stairs. I raced up them and saw a little girl in her bed rubbing her eyes. She looked like she was about to cry, "Wh-who are you? Where i-is ma and p-pa?"
"I'm (Y/N). I don't know where your mom or dad is but I'll find them, I promise." I smiled as I walked to her bed and kneeled down. "Pr-Promise?" she held out her pinky. "I promise," I locked my pinky with hers and smiled looking into her ice blue eyes, "But you have to promise that you'll stay here, okay?"
She shook her head, "I don't want to be alone!"
Rogue and Sting were quietly at the door frame. But Rogue walked in holding Fro, "He'll stay with you."
~*~*~*~*~*~
We were back on the street and I sighed, "There's too many monsters... too many kids still in their sleep. I say we split up and go down the different paths. It's quicker, and if my calculations are right every road leads to the heart of the town."
"I agree," Rogue nodded.
"Okay. It's settled, we go different ways. I'll go left. Rogue you go right. (Y/N)... stay straight," Sting said leading, "Defeat is not an option."
I gave a salute, "Be careful, you two. And Lector... stay out of trouble." I looked up at the flying cat. "Don't tell me what to do, human!"
I laughed and waltzed down the street humming the song that's still stuck in my head.
