Your Pov:
I walked up to the houses door. I knocked before I entered. I peeked my head from the side of the door. "Hello?" I called out. No answer, "Hello? Don't be alarmed I won't hurt you."
"GO AWAY!" A small voice piped up from up stairs. I sighed, this isn't going to be easy.
"I'm not leaving until I make sure you're okay," I said in a sweet tone.
"I'm fine, now go away! I want mommy!" The girl's voice yelled but was muffled by something. I groaned and proceeded to the stairwell in the corner of the room.
"I'll help you find you're mom, but I need to at least figure out who you are," I said at the base of the stairs.
There was a long moment of silence before I heard shuffling up stairs with quiet steps. A girl's face popped out from the corner of the stairwell. She had messy pigtails tied with red ribbon and short forehead bangs hung to her eyebrows. Her hair was a caramel brown almost copper ginger color. She had large grey eyes that were bleak. She was sad. She carried a small teddy bear. At the moment the teddy bear was hugged tightly to her chest covering her mouth. So that's what's been muffling her words.
I smiled at her nicely, "I'm (Y/N) (L/N). And you are?"
"My name is Orchid Summers," Orchid said shyly.
I gave her a toothy smile, "That's a pretty name. I've never heard it used as a name before. I like it."
Orchid looked at me for a moment, "(Y/N) is pretty too... I had a friend with the same name. Until she moved away."
"I'm very sad to hear that. How about you come down here and we can go find your mom," I offered my hand. Her grip on the bear dropped and she smiled at me. Her eyes lit up as she ran down the stairs and grabbed my hand pulling me out the door. I laughed and followed her. She ran into the street and stopped then turned to me.
"Where is everyone?" She asked.
"Umm... I'm not sure," I made a funny face granted a laugh from Orchid. I never thought of that. Where are the adults? The kids were safely tucked in... Wait. Maybe it happened one night and the kids fell asleep trapped in their houses while their parents and other residents went... somewhere. I looked around trying to recall when we first got here. The clouds stopped right where the buildings stopped. I looked straight down the stone road to see the large train station in the distance. That would make sense... but then why didn't the residents take their kids?
"You look funny when you thing," Orchid laughed holding her stomach.
I laughed with her and made another funny face crossing my eyes. That's when she lost it and fell on the ground kicking and punching the road, laughing.
"Well hello there," The all familiar voice of Sting rang through my ears. I glanced over at him and saw he had a little boy on his shoulders with another by his side.
Orchid stopped laughing and looked up at Sting. She smiled, "Well hello indeed."
"Orchid! Stop flirting with older guys!" The boy on Sting's shoulders scolded.
"You're not the boss of me, Coe," She pouted hugging her bear again.
Coe just sighed resting his chin on Sting's head, "You're 8 he's like... 25."
"Hey! I'm not that old!!" Sting snapped sweat dropping.
"Awwww. (Shipname) would be good parents!" Lector budded in clapping his hands together and holding them by his face as small hearts scattered around him.
Sting and I glared daggers at him, then we glanced at each other... we looked away flustered.
"Ooooo... (Y/N)'s in love with... blondy!" Orchid cheered.
"The name's Sting Eucliffe," he sighed.
"I'm Cole. Hit me up," the older boy to the side of Sting smirked at me.
I looked over at Orchid. We both tried to hold in our laughs but failed as we had a laughing fit on the ground.
"Baka! She's like 6 years older than you, Cole!" Coe pouted on Sting's shoulders. His dirty blonde hair fluffed out into little tuffs. His brown eyes ignoring his older brother.
Cole looks up at his brother, "Oh come on! I was only kidding!"
"Better be," Sting's eyes were on fire burning into Cole's soul. Cole's pigment left his body leaving his dishwasher blonde hair white and his green-brown eyes, empty.
"Oh, don't be rude, Sting," I said in between laughs, "He's only a boy."
Suddenly Rogue came walking in with a herd of kids. Jumping, running and climbing on or around Rogue. He looked 100% sick of their shit. He looked at me blankly but I can sense he was asking for help. I laughed, "Okay, let's got to the train station!"
One of the kids yelled "Last one there is a rotten egg!" I laughed and yelled, "Challenge excepted!". I took off running, "Moon Dragon Slayer; Ray Dash." My steps lit up in white light as I moved as fast as light getting to the train station. I looked at the upcoming crowd smirking, "I win!"
"You're really slow." I looked behind me to see Rogue sitting on a bench reading a newspaper. He closed it and looked at me. "ARE YOU KIDDING!" I yelled and playfully punched his arm, "what ever I still win."
"Mhmmm." Rogue said glancing at me, "Sure you did."
"Shut up, let's go find these kids parents," I said opening the main entrance of the building to be greeted by hundreds of eyes. It smelt pretty bad in there. I looked around and noticed the people were sitting on sleeping bags on the floor or on benches. Some had their heads hung low, in their hands or were up looking at me.
"God forbid... Are you here to help us?" A women spoke up rushing over to us.
I nodded, "We're from the guild Sabortooth. The monsters are eliminated and the children are safe. It's alright to come out now."
The women's face glowed in overjoy. She hugged me, "Thank you!" She turned around and yelled to everyone else, "Come on! Let's get out of here!
~*~*~*~*~
I find it funny how everything works out. We waved to the town as we started to walk towards the nearest town. Everyone was happy and safe now. We'll tell the train companies that it's safe to go and stop at Cloud Peak. Hopefully the town recovers quickly. Turns out the adults only staid at the train station because they wanted to stay close to their kids. They were lured out of their village with a hallucination of a fat man yelling about a money give away. When they got to the train station the man disappeared and monsters prevented the adults to get back in to the town.
I smiled and hocked my arms around Sting's and Rogue's neck into a group hug. I started to laugh, "what a happy ending! We get money in our pockets, families are reunited and no one got hurt!"
They laughed with me, Fro and Lector as well.
