(Your Pov):

Light flooded through my eye lids. I turned away from the light suddenly feeling my body ache. I groaned and sat up. A small yawn came up and I stretched out my arms, extending my legs and wiggling my toes. I intertwined my fingers and reached for the sky. I turned my neck to the side and felt it's disks pop into place. I turned it to the other side getting a satisfying crack. I opened my eyes, adjusting to the light.

I was in a warm cave. I had my clothes on a rock in the corner, drying. I sighed and stood up completely. My feet now fully acquainted with the warm rock floor, I finished stretching. I twisted my torso and rolled my shoulders. I placed my hands at my hips and slowly leaned back, popping my spine into a straight line once again. I slowly brought my self back forward and leaned down touching my toes.

"Are you about to run a marathon?" Eclipse laughed at the back of my head.

"Well with how much your making me walk, probably," I teased. I walked over to my clothes and pulled up my pants. I had already had on my underwear and bra. I was about to put on my favorite shirt. It was one of Sting's old ones that he gave to me. I smelled the hem of it and felt safer. Images and memories of us together played in my head like a slide show.

"So the Moon Dragon Slayer likes the White Dragon Slayer?" Eclipse gasped.

"It's no longer a like..." I said, "I can almost say it's love."

I sighed and put the shirt down, "Eclipse? How is this cave so warm?"

"The hot spring is only the escape root. Really there's a bunch of channels and tunnels under the crust that's boiling hot. Lucky enough, there's a hot pocket of water under this cave," he explained.

"Oh that makes sense," I smiled. My gaze dropped down. I could see my toes. They were still slightly red from yesterday. My smile faded away and a frown appeared. I looked at the long sleeves on my hood and shook my head. I looked at Sting's shirt. The sleeves were big and baggy but still a short length. My face twisted at the thought of tearing them off. However, I grabbed it and tightly hooked my fingers around the seams. I closed my eyes tight and looked away as I tugged the fabric. A ripping sound was heard and I let out a humiliating squeak. I tugged even harder making the tension drop as the sleeve was now ripped off.

I did the same to the other sleeve. I slid the sleeves into my pocket and put on the now sleeveless shirt. I quickly threw on the sweatshirt and pulled up the hood. I grabbed the string and yanked it out. I shoved it in my pocket. I ran out of the cave to the nearest big-ish tree.

I peeled off large chunks of the bark. I ran back into the cave and danced around trying to warm up my feet. "Cold, cold, cold!" I chanted. I sat my ass down on the ground and measured out the bark to my feet. They were the perfect size. I slid on the sleeves onto my feet and put the chunk of bark to the bottom of my feet. I took the string and cut it in half. I tied it around my make-shift sandal.

I dusted off my hands in finishing my work, "that should do." I smiled at my craftiness.

"Why did you make sandals?" Eclipse said like the answer wasn't clear.

"Well, people used to wear wooden sandals just for the heck of it. And well, it's not like there's a store in the middle of the woods that sell boots or shoes in general... So, I made my own. I don't want my feet to suffer for our stupid decision of walking in the snow."

Eclipse was silent for a moment, "true, I guess. Glare raised a smart young lady."

"Yes she did, and she did one hell of a job," I said jumping up and walking to the entrance of the cave, "How much farther till we reach Glare?"

"By tomorrow morning we should be there," Eclipse said, "We need to hurry though."

I staid still. I didn't move. I was trying to see if I could feel her energy from this far. I knew I wouldn't be able, but a part of me wanted to verify she was alive. I put my hands behind my head and began to walk, "What am I going to eat?"

"Whatever you can find, I guess," Eclipse sighed.

"Damn..." I cursed under my breath, "I can wait a little while, I guess."

"Don't strain yourself," Eclipse warned, "Besides can't you just eat rock?"

I thought for a moment, "Well, rocks like basalt, anorthosites, and breccias are found on the moon and Earth but the rock needs to be directly from the moon."

"Ugh, everything was so much more simple on the moon," Eclipse complained.

"Tell me about it. It'll take my mind off the cold and the hunger..." I said.

"Well..." Eclipse began. He told of stories of the barren rock. How you could see Earth so clearly and how you could sleep for practically a whole month on the dark side of the moon. Now and then he would have to stop a story or a detail to tell me a direction to go. He was like a radio and a GPS in one. But I actually enjoyed his company.

"I was wondering something," I said as he finished talking about how perfect the weather was -cold and always clear. "What was Glare like before the moon? And are you two mates or...?" I asked awkwardly.

Eclipse chuckled, "Oh child. Way before the moon Glare and I were... Partners. Yes, we were mates, but we were more. We didn't just breed and said good bye, we had a connection. She was the light to my darkness. I was Yin and she was my Yang. She completed me," He paused, "She was the part of me that I never wanted to get rid of. She was priceless. She meant so much to me. I literally traveled to the moon and back multiple times for her.

"Before the moon she was just as elegant and kind. She just looked a little different... She had small scales for speed and large claws for hunting. Her wings were a medium size and her body was arrow dynamic with a smaller frame. She was like a snake, with wings and legs, and a nasty bite. Glare kept her glowing blue eyes, but her body went from an amazing metallic gold color to pure white. Either way, she still took my breath away."

"You're a softy aren't you, Eclipse?"

"Only on certain subjects."

I awed but kept walking.
