Dragons and Slayers (Sting x Reader)

Chapter 14: Just Dandy.

-Okay, so I'm going to start updating 2 chapter every Saturday/Sunday, and 1 during the week. Hopefully you like this idea <3-

Sting's Pov:

The group just split up. Lector was with me. For once he wasn't yapping and howling about something. He was silent. We were walking down the street nonchalantly. I felt something snap at my feet. I question lay look down.

2 thin white lines, almost transparent, sat at either side of my foot. It was a spider web obviously. I heard dark breathing above me. I slowly looked up to see 8 crimson eyes staring at me. I smirked, idiot. I cocked my arm back and jumped up slamming my fist down on the spiders head into the ground. I stood up and straightened out. I cracked my knuckles and carried on. As I started to walk again I started thinking.

About Rogue, (Y/N), the little kids that must have been scared out of their own skins right now. I looked up at the falling sky. I noticed more of the sky has been opening. At least that means my companions are doing well. Yelling and screaming cut me off. It was coming from the left. It was feminine.

My heart sank... (Y/N). I stopped and launched myself towards that direction. Sprinting towards the center road and up the street following the blood curdling screaming. I started to run faster. The blobs that were in the middle of the giant central circle of the city. (Y/N) was in front of a giant black snake, she was screaming and crying in a ball on the floor. She was frantically looking around and swatting at nothing in the air. Purple tears ran down her face. Purple? Her screams and crying muted as her body tensed up on the floor and was choking on air.

I slid on my knees to her side and held her. She wasn't responding like a normal person. Her breathing wasn't even, it was heavy and inconsistent. I pushed her (H/C) hair out from her face and looked into her eyes. They were coated in a thick purple liquid. I looked over at the giant snake, his eyes were glowing purple. "What the hell did you do to her!" I yelled. I held her closer to my chest now, protectively.

"I did nothing," The snake as it's long neck and head danced.

"That is a freaking lie!" I said through gritted teeth. I placed my hands on (Y/N) head and looked down at her. Tears still stained her face as she cried and coughed.

"Okay, okay. Calm down. It's hypnosis magic. In about..." he thought, "2 minutes her hallucination will kill her."

"No. No..." I hid my face in the crook of her neck. The snake only chuckled.

I kissed (Y/N) cheek then her forehead. Wet, liquid fell from my eyes. Am I crying? Why am I crying? I only met the girl a little while ago... But...

I snuck a glance up towards the snake. I saw the familiar black mist-like-ora above its' head. Rogue... The ora gathered together into a silhouette. Rogue's red eyes came through first. He quickly flipped turning his body into position and gaining power. "Shadow Dragon Slash!" He yelled as his fist connected with the snakes diamond pattern on his head.

The snake's eyes narrowed in freight. His head cocked to the side, and his body started to spiral and twitch on the floor. Until his whole body straightened out like a board. His tongue hung out to the side, dead.

The dark clouds dropped and vanished as the open blue atmosphere filled the sight again. The sun shined brightly, high in the sky. I looked down towards (Y/N). The dark kazoo purple dulled into the sweet (E/C) orbs. Her tears went darker as if they were draining the cursed liquid out of her system.

Her lungs drew a deep breath like she hasn't breathed for an eternity. Her body loosened at first as she blinked a few times taking in her surroundings. She gasped when she saw my face. Her arms pulled me back down towards her. She clung on for life, nuzzling her head in my chest. I chuckled and accepted the embrace and returned it.

We were gathering and processed what had happened. (Y/N) told us she didn't remember much. Her hallucinations felt so real. After a few minutes of talking she realized that the snake shoot his poison at her when he first hissed at her. It started slow with a small blind girl, then started to get bad when the snake ate the girl. In the hallucination (Y/N) was trying to save the girl but these flying bee-like bugs swarmed her. They weren't attacking... more like distracting. Then she couldn't move her body and the snake swallowed her whole. "It felt so real..." She hugged herself, "The burning sensation of the snakes stomach acid, the beating of the bugs wings... The girls words..."

I ruffled her hair, "It's alright now. It's all over." I looked around and noticed lights and commotions were occurring in the houses and buildings around us. I smiled and looked at her, "Seems like we might have our hands full for a little while." I pointed to the small girl in the window of one of the buildings who had a teddy bear in her hands.

(Y/N) relaxed into my touch and started to laugh, "Yeah. You're right."

*Giggles* Kazoo! I really like that word XD Anyways, I know plot twist right! Yeah sorry if you were so confused, I hope it cleared up at the end. I'll update again in about an hour. And as always, stay colorful my rainbows <3
