Chapter 19: Jealous Much?

(Your POV):

Gray cut in, "You guys are always hungry!!"

I shrug then smile, "I'll make lunch. No one needs to help me, I'll do it by myself!"

Blondie smiles at me, "no way! I'll help you!"

I shook my head, "Nah, hang out here. Besides I want to." I smiled, "Oh but I do need you guys to start a fire."

Natsu jumped in and pointed to himself, "I got this!" He set his stance facing the large tree on the ground. "Fire Dragon: Roar!" He took a deep breath and puffed out his chest. He balled up his hands into fists and lined them up in front of his mouth. He let out the air hurdling flames to the tree. It instantly lit up in flames. I watched in awe. The flickering of the fire. I clapped my hands together, "Thank you Natsu!!"

He scratched the back of his head sheepishly, and began to blush, "Oh... heh... It was nothing."

"Welp, I'll be back guys!" I smiled and emptied my pack, "Come on Luna~."

"Wait... Where are you going?" Sting called out.

"We won't have enough food for everyone so... I got to go get more!"

He shook his head, "Not alone, you're not!"

"Watch me!" I turned around and began to sprint through the forest. I was giggling as I ran. I jumped over fallen trees and ducked under branches like nothing. I could hear Sting chasing after me. Luna was flying next to me. I looked up at her, "Try to keep up."

I focused on my feet. I closed my eyes using my other senses to lead me through the forest. I focused on my breathing. Inhale... 5... 4... 3... 2... Exhale, repeat. When I opened my eyes again I dug my toes in the ground and took off, "Moon Dragon: Ray Dash!"

I sprinted farther into the forest. My steps so quiet not even a specially trained dog could hear it. I took a side step onto the trunk of a massive tree and leaped off of it spinning into an opening. Deer were calmly eating around the meadow. It was peaceful. "Moon Dragon: Crescent Bow!"

A large bow made out of a baby blue light appeared in my hand. Arrows that bent and used the rays of  sun making them. They were stronger than steel and almost invisible. I shot three arrow. Three thuds echoed through the forest. I let the rest go away. I carried a deer on each of my shoulders. I threw them in a pile and quickly went around collecting as many dandelion leaves as I could find. They filled about half of my pack. I started to think. Meat, vegetable... now all I need is a fruit... I look around. Lucky enough there was an apple tree in the center of the clearing. Ripe red apple hung off the branches taunting me to take a few.

I started to approach the tree. A smile plastered on my face. Then an image of the past popped in to my mind. I was somewhere else. My stomach growled with every step I took and I was tired. I was confused and dried tears stained my face. I was carrying a basket with a blanket and another outfit.

I remember being scared and so hungry. It was after Glare left.

I took a deep breath and swallowed the frog in my throat. I shook off the memories and climbed up the tree. I grabbed about twelve or so apples. I threw them in my pack and sprinted to the pile of game. Luna just got to the clearing. "Here you go," I gave her the pack, "We should get back."

I threw the deer on my back. They were clean kills and... I mean clean. The rays of sun burnt the entry wound making the blood dry and stop almost immediately..... and actually burnt their lungs and heart... They died quick.

(Sorry if your a vegetarian/vegan. But Natsu is not ^~^)

I began to walk back to the camp. The deer weighed heavy on my shoulders. I trudged on. Luna was close this time. We made small talk and... I can honestly say... I love her. She's like my best friend but more... I can't really explain it. She's like a child to me. She's my child.

On the way back we ran into Sting though... He wasn't very happy. But he did help and carry two of the deer!

"So... You obviously know Natsu and them," I began to make a conversation.

"I don't want to get into it, (Y/N)," He said as he looked at me.

"Oh... Okay..." I sigh, "And you and Blondie?" I bit my lip hoping to not sound... out of the ordinary.

He chuckles, "her name is Lucy."

"Okay... you and Lucy??" I asked looking away.

"Nothing there. Why do you ask? Are you jealous?"

I blush and kept my gaze somewhere else, "Of course not!"

"Well.... I was jealous of Natsu for a minute when you two were all goody."

I stopped walking and looked at him in shock, "Really?"

"Yep," He turned towards me and shrugged, "he beat me in a fight awhile ago, doesn't mean he's stronger than me. It was just an off day. It was at the Grand Magic Games.... That's how I know them." He looked away, "Watching him put a finger on you made me angry. I don't know... I just didn't like you two so happy together."

I smiled and caught up with him, "Same thing happened to me when you and Lucy were smile at each other.."

I looked up at him. But something caught my eyes. I looked at his neck. There was a purple mark on his neck. "Oh, no," I said in a small gasp.

"What is it?"

"Umm... I'm sorry... but it looks like you got a hickey..." I shrunk myself in shame.

"What?!"

"Yeah... I guess I bit you too hard this morning... Whoops!!"

"It's fine... Just means I need to give you one later." He smirks and keeps walking.
