Chapter 1: Dragon Queen

Moon Glare's Point of View:

As I was doing my normal fly around I heard an awful sound. Screaming and crying coming from the woods below. I swooped down to investigate. I saw a small child inside a hand woven basket crying. I felt almost... sad for it. I looked around to see if I could find any clue to where her parents were. I found blood splattered across the surrounding trees and people remains. Her parents are dead, and I know why. Damn dragons don't know how to clean up after themselves! I thought for awhile trying to figure out what to do with the child. She was wrapped up in a soft blanket with something sewn into it. I looked down to investigate. '(Y/N)' it read.

The child squirmed a little and open its eyes. I stared into the mesmerizing (e/c) orbs. She finally stopped making loud cries for help and giggled. She smiled and stared back into my blue eyes. She touched my nose softly. I smiled, Aw... I... I can't leave her out here!

I grabbed the handle of the basket with my mouth. I flew to my secret cave and set the basket down. There was a window like hole above us shining the moon down on us. The moon was setting and I grew tired. I laid down only to be disturbed by the crying baby in the corner of the room. I slithered my tail around the basket and pulled it closer to my body. Immediately the annoying sound stopped and she stayed quiet.

***9 Years Later***

(Y/N) and I have been training nonstop every night for 6 hours. She has grown incredibly strong. Her body has been changing... no more like evolving to become a dragon. Her K-9 teeth are fairly sharp. Her arms are thin but are ensured with muscles, same goes for her legs. Her eyes have grown more of an animals then a humans. Her pupils get huge at night absorbing more light so she can see better in the dark. Then in the sun light her pupils go into narrow slits. It amazes me every time I see her how much she has grown. I'm scared though, Acnologia's powers seem to be increasing... If he finds me raising a child like this he is sure to kill us both. I look at (Y/N) sleeping in her normal position -curled into a ball next to me-.

I couldn't live with myself if I knew that I was the cause for her death. I shook my head when a thought comes to mind. Then I thought about it longer coming to a conclusion that it would be the best thing for both of us. I got up slowly, not waking the girl up from her slumbers and headed for the cave opening. I looked to the sky and say it was high sun. I took a deep breath and stepped out of the cave. I looked down, I know I'm going to regret this later, then looked back at the sleeping girl. I smiled sadly and took my leave to the sky. I flew away leaving (Y/N) on her own. Please forgive me, my love. It's for the best.
