Chapter 30

It took the group 7 hours afterwards to find the cabin again, but all of them got back safely.  Everything was okay again, but the zombie attacks were happening more often again.  A few of them had suggested moving, but in the end everyone always decided that it would be best to stay where they were.  Later on one afternoon, another attack came. 
"Cruuuuud." Caden said annoyed. 
"AGAIN?! Really?" Nani added. 
"What's wrong?" Mika asked Nani.
"You seriously don't hear that?" Caden replied.  Mika closed her eyes so she could focus on hearing.
"It sounds like... the zombies." She said slowly. 
"Aaand there they are!" Allena said sounding a little mad pointing at the first zombie. 
So they all began fighting the zombies.  What had seemed like a small attack had turned into a big one, and a few people nearly got attacked or bit.  5 minutes later the last of the zombies left. 
"Is everyone okay?" Fawn asked.
"Yep!" Scarlett exclaimed. 
"Although I almost DIED!" Mika cried. 
"Oh no..." Tyler said quietly.
"What's wrong?" Kyle asked him.  Tyler started looking around frantically for a minute.
"Has anyone seen Greztky?" He asked nervously.  The whole group looked around them.
"Nope." Allena answered equally as nervous.
"Oh no where's that stupid cat this time?!" Kyle asked.
"It's okay guys. We'll find him." Fawn said.
"Perhaps we should split up." Venus suggested.
"Yeah!" Mika exclaimed.
"Okay... Why don't I, Fawn, Scarlett and Allena go this way, and everyone else go the other?" Venus said.
"Good idea!" Nani answered. So they all left. After about 10 minutes, nobody found anything, so They split up even more. Fawn took Scarlett, Nani went with Tyler and Mika, and the rest went on there own. 5 minutes later, Allena had found Greztky. He looked really scratched up, and had a bite mark on his stomach. The sight of the cat was really bad. After 6 seconds of looking at him, Allena screamed. A few seconds later Kyle was right beside her.
"Allena! What happened? Are you okay?" He asked nervously. 
"I... I found the cat..." She said quietly. "And?" Kyle asked. Allena did nothing but point to Greztky. Kyle walked up to him.
"Oh... my... god..." He said quietly.
"Oh.. Oh my gosh.. Are you okay?" Fawn asked to the cat.
"Fawn.. What are you doing? Oh right, I forgot.." Kyle said.
"I.. I think he got bit.." Fawn said shyly.
"How am I ever going to tell Tyler!!!!?" Kyle exclaimed.
"GRETZKY!!!!" Tyler screamed when he saw the sight of the cat.
"He got bit." Allena said.
"Oh no.. Fawn you probably know more about animals than anyone here.. WHAT DO I DO!!" Tyler asked really frantic.
"It's ok. We just need to find the antidote. When I was trapped in the military I saw a book that said how long we have until it's too late. I think Gretzky has about 3 days. We need to get that antidote. " Fawn said truthfully with a sad look on her face.
"How will anyone know how to get back the the hospital?" Tyler said upset.
"I-I.." Fawn said shyly,unsure of what to say.
"I thought that you knew what to do!!!" Tyler said, not knowing how mean he sounded.
"I'm sorry.." Fawn said really quietly looking at the ground.
"Will you leave her alone? She just tried to help you!" Kyle said angrily before putting his arm around Fawn.
"It's ok.." Fawn said quietly again.
"I'm sorry.. I didn't mean to say it the way that I did.." Tyler apologized.
"It's ok.. Honestly.." Fawn said.
"Can I tell you guys something?" Tyler said sounding a little embarrassed while looking at the ground. 
"Always!" Allena exclaimed with a warm smile.
"You can tell us anything!" Nani added.
"Well, you see, the only reason I got so upset was because Gretzky is the only family I have left at the moment. My parents are probably dead. Gretzky is all I have..." Tyler said sadly.
"You always have us!!!" Scarlett exclaimed.
"True!!!" Mika added.
"We understand, don't worry!" Venus said. 
"Now what to do about that cat..." Allena said quietly. 
"Wait!" Caden exclaimed.  The group looked at him.
"What?" Scarlett asked. 
"Which way did you guys come from before you came here?" He asked.  Mika pointed to the right. 
"Wasn't that the same way Kyle went when he tried to find his dad?" Caden said. 
"I think." Kyle replied. 
"Did you come across the place that you guys used to have by any chance?" Caden asked him. Kyle thought about it for a second.
"I might have..." He said still thinking.
"WE GOTTA GO BACK THERE!" Tyler yelled. Then he realized how loud he was being.
"Oops." He added quietly. 
"I might remember how to get back." Kyle said. 
"Well, let's go!" Allena exclaimed.  And that's what they did. 
It turns out that Kyle actually did know where the group used to be, and they started to walk to the hospital from there.  5 hours later, they found it. 
"FINALLY!" Tyler yelled. 
"Okay, we should probably all split up again." Venus stated. 
"Shouldn't someone stay with Greztky?" Caden asked. 
"Probably." Nani replied. 
"I'll do it.  He's my cat anyway." Tyler said. 
"If you want, I'll stay back with you." Nani added.
"Aww thanks!" Tyler exclaimed.  Then the rest of the group went inside and split up.  Venus went with Mika since Nani went outside with Tyler, Fawn went with Scarlett, and Kyle, Allena and Caden went the other way. 20 minutes later, Venus and Mika found the antidote, and ran back outside.
"We found it!" Mika exclaimed happily.
"Is it the same one as last time?" Tyler asked. Allena walked up to Mika to get a closer look, since she was the one who found it when Mika got attacked.
"Yep... I'm pretty sure that's it." She answered.
"Well no time to waste, let's give it to him!" Caden said as he grabbed the antidote and tried to grab the cat. Key word: Tried. Basically Gretzky went all 'kitty zombie' on Caden.
"Just.. Stay.. Put.." Caden sighed before giving the antidote to the cat.
"Phew." Tyler sighed of relief.
Greztky stayed still for a few minutes, and Tyler started to worry.
"Is it working?" Mika asked worriedly.
"I hope... Oh Greztky WAKE UP PLEASE!!!" Tyler pleaded. A few seconds later, he did. But something was wrong. He looked... Different. Greztky looked around, and his eyes landed on Caden.
"Uhhh... W-Why is he staring at me like that?" Caden asked nervously.
"I don't know..." Nani answered. All of the sudden, Greztky lost it. He jumped on to Caden, and he fell to the ground.
"Caden!!!" Allena exclaimed.
"GET THIS THING OFF OF ME!!!" Caden screamed. Then Allena ran beside Caden and attempted to pry Greztky off.
"I think I'm losing a little to much blood!!!!" He cried.
"Well... We knew him a good four weeks." Kyle. said flatly. Allena glared at him.
"What?! KYLE!!!" Allena cried.
"SKITTLE BOMB!!!!!!" Scarlett exclaimed as she tore open a packet of skittles. All of a sudden, Gretzky stopped in his tracks. He stopped attacking Caden.
"Wait? What just happened here?" Caden asked.
"A skittle bomb. A skittle bomb happened here." Scarlett replied proudly.
"Wait.. Why did you stop? Scarlett!!" Kyle whined.
"KYLE!" Allena screamed.
"I feel so loved." Caden said flatly.
"Are-Are you okay?!" Fawn asked Caden.
"Meh. I'm fine I guess." Caden replied.
"I think we should go back now." Venus said slowly.
"Probably." Mika added. So they all left.
