Chapter 44

The next day, Kyle and Allena left with Marly to take her back to the AIH. Like Fawn, they used the map, but when they got there, they couldn't see the base. 
"I don't understand... It's right here!" Kyle cried frustratedly as he examined the map.
"Maybe we just made a wrong turn...?" Allena suggested.
"Nope." Kyle replied.
"If I remember correctly, the base is hidden." Marly told them.
Just then, someone came out of the trees.
"Who are you guys?" The person asked. It was a Panda Person.
"I'm Marly, Logan's little sister. He's in charge of the younger panda people group and I left him for a bit. But I'm back now, and I was wondering if you could let me in?" Marly explained.
"Yeah, yeah. I know who you are. But- who are they?" The man asked, pointing to Kyle and Allena. Allena looked at Kyle nervously.
"I- um..." She began to say nervously.
"Speak up." The panda person said annoyed. Kyle shot him a glare.
"Do you have a problem?" The panda person asked Kyle, smirking.
"Actually ye-" Kyle began to say, but Allena interrupted him.
"No, no he doesn't. Right Kyle?" Allena asked, trying to cover up for them.
"Ugh... Right. I guess." Kyle said disgruntled.
"... Anyways... Could you let me in, maybe? I know how this whole thing works but I really need to see my brother?" Marly asked.
"Yeah. I can. But first, I need to make sure your actually Logan's little sister. I'll get him, you guys stay PUT. " The panda person said authoritatively.  All of a sudden, in the blink of an eye, Logan  showed up with the man.
"Wait... How did he-" Allena began to say but Logan cut her off.
"Wait.. You?" Logan asked slightly rudely.
"Y-yes." Allena said nervously.
"Do you have a problem with that?" Kyle asked defensively.
"Woah, calm yourself dude. I don't suggest you talk to a person of authority like that. " Logan smirked.
"... You little..." Kyle grunted.
"Anyways... We brought your-" Allena began to say. Once again, Caden cut her off.
"Marly!" He shouted. Then he ran off to her and pulled her into a hug.
"I... You... I was so worried... Where were you?" He asked.
"I decided to go with Fawn's group when they brought her back to the camp, to see if she woke up." Marly explained. "She did, so I came back."
She added. Allena thought that Logan should know the real reason why Marly went with them, so she spoke up.
"Well, that might be part of it. But, I think there was something else to it as well." Allena said truthfully.
"What?" Logan asked confused. Allena looked to Marly encouragingly.
"I think you should tell him." She whispered. Marly nodded.
"W-well... You didn't really seem to care whether I was hurt or not during the fight. So, I also decided to come with Fawn's group to see if you cared." Marly explained. Logan looked shocked.
"I... I had no idea... I'm sorry." He said, hugging Marly.
"It's okay... I forgive you!" Marly said happily. Logan smiled before looking at Marly.
"Just promise me you won't scare me like that again? I was really worried..." Logan said. Marly nodded her head.
"Deal." She agreed.
"I promise I won't make your fight again either, your way too young." Caden said happily.
"Even better deal!" Marly exclaimed.
"Well... I think we better head back before it gets dark." Kyle suggested.
"Agreed." Allena agreed, looking up at the sky. But before the pair could leave, Marly ran up to them.
"Thanks guys, I really appreciate it!" She said thankfully, hugging first Allena, then Kyle.
"Anytime!" Allena said smiling.
"No problem kiddo!" Kyle said before they both started to walk off. Before they could, Logan walked after them and tapped Kyle's shoulder.
"Look." He started. "I really appreciate you guys looking after Marly for me. I don't know what I'd do without her, she's my only family left." He said appreciatively.
"Don't worry." Kyle said. "I understand. Anytime."
"Oh, tell Fawn I said thanks as well , for saving Marly's life. " Logan added. "I guess I don't hate her THAT much." Logan laughed.
"Watch it." Kyle laughed. "She's mine." 
"Well... See ya!!" Allena exclaimed to Marly.
"Bye!!!" Marly replied.  Then Kyle and Allena left. 
It took the two of them considerably longer to get back to the cabin, and the others started to get worried about them. 
"What do you think happened?" Nani asked worriedly. 
"Nothing, probably.  It does take a long time to get to the AIH.  They should be back within an hour or so." Fawn answered.
"I hope... If only Kyle let me go with Allena... WHY does he HATE ME????" Caden cried.
"Because you have a crush on his younger sister." Tyler smirked.  Caden though about it for a second or two.
"Right....." He said slowly. 
"Didn't he hate you before that?" Mika asked.
"Actually, yes."Caden answered.  
"No, really.  It is really dark outside.  What if there was zombies?" Venus asked worriedly. 
"Or... No offense to Fawn or Scarlett, but what if they got shot by someone at the AIH?" Tyler added.
"None taken, and No, that probably wouldn't happen.  We didn't even kill anyone at the fight." Fawn replied.
"Clearly they tried to kill the Panda people though..." Scarlett added sadly. 
"It's alright Scar! I'm okay now!!!" Fawn reassured her. 
Then the door opened.
"We're back guys!" Allena exclaimed.
"There you two are!! We were starting to get worried!" Nani exclaimed.
"What happened?" Mika asked.
"Well... There was a zombie attack, actually.  We're okay, it happened after we got Marly to the AIH. The only problem is... The attack maybe coming here, and it could get bigger." Kyle explained.
"Oh no..." Venus said quietly.
"But we've dealt with them before, right?  How different can it be this time?" Scarlett said. 
The next day, just as Kyle had predicted, the attack did come. 
"And, Kyle was right." Venus muttered.
"You know... I really wish that the zombies would just can it already.  These attacks scare the crap out of me." Allena added.
"Same.  But if we didn't have zombie attacks, we wouldn't be in an apocalypse." Nani told her.
"That, my girlfriend, would be a GOOD THING." Tyler said jokingly.
"Well, round 345, here we come." Caden muttered sarcastically as the zombies came closer.  It turned out to be a really big attack.  by the end of it, some of the group went out so far, they couldn't even see the cabin any longer.
"Where... In the name of heck am I?" Caden asked. He looked around for a few seconds, but couldn't see anything. He decided to start walking to see if he could find anyone.
"Hello? Anyone? It's me Caden!" He called out. Then somebody came out from behind a tree. It was Tyler.
"Do you have any clue where we are at all?" He asked Caden.
"I was wondering the same thing, and I've been here ever since the apocalypse started!" Caden shrugged.
"Neither do we!" A voice from behind them added. Tyler and Caden turned around startled to see Scarlett and Mika standing there.
"Okay... That makes four of us lost now. Where's the other five?" Tyler asked. 
"Dunno. Maybe we're just the morons that got lost, and everyone else is still at the cabin." Tyler suggested.
"Let's try and get back, I'm worried about the others. Especially Nani..." Mika added worriedly.
"Don't worry, we'll find her." Caden told her reassuringly. Then they all left.
After about ten minutes, they heard voices.
"Wait a second!" Caden exclaimed, holding a hand out to silence everyone. He walked forward to make sure that it wasn't another mess of zombies. But when he looked behind the tree, it wasn't a zombie. It was Kyle.
"What in the name of heck are you doing?" He asked Caden skeptically.
"Oh... Just making sure that you weren't a zombie and all that. Do you have any clue where we are?" Caden replied.
"Nope." Kyle replied shaking his head.
Meanwhile, Fawn, Allena, Nani and Venus were still at the cabin.
"Is everyone okay?" Nani asked.
"Yeah." Fawn replied.
"But wait a second." Venus began.
"There's the four of us, but where's everyone else?"
