8. Time to explain

When Avi got to the end of the slide he waited for Kirstie. She exited the little pool and walked over to Avi wrapping her arms around his torso. "That was so much fun."
"Do you wanna go ride something else?"
"Yeah! But I'm kinda hungry, let's get something to eat, I bet the guys are hungry too."
She was right they saw the three sitting by there stuff eating some sandwiches and speaking very quietly.
"Uhh hey guys."
"Hey Kirstie."
"Is there any food left?"
"Yeah there's a couple sandwiches left, here." Avi and Kirstie sat down and ate. There was a weird and uncomfortable silence that made Kirstie a little worried. She looked at Avi and he just shrugged.
"Are you guys okay, y'all are being real quiet."
Mitch spoke up.
"Oh yeah we're fine."
"Then why is everyone so quiet?"
"No reason."
"There's obviously a reason."
"Kirstie can I talk to you?"
Uhhhh I guess..."
Mitch pulled Kirstie by the arm away from everyone else.
"What's up with you and Avi?"
"What do you mean?"
"We saw you guys."
"What did you see?"
"Come on Kirstie, we saw you practically make out with Avi when you guys were standing in line."
Kirstie knew she couldn't deny it, she looked down a little embarrassed and blushing.
"You saw that?"
"Kirstie, just tell me what's going on."
"Fine... me and Avi started dating."
"HOLY SHI-"
Kirstie put her hand over Mitch's mouth.
"Shhh Mitch."
"When did this happen?"
"Um, this morning..."
"Wow, and you're already making out with him. Guess you've liked each other for a while now huh?"
"Shut up Mitch."
With that Kirstie turned around and went back over to the rest.
"Ok guys, I have something to tell you..."
Avi looked a bit confused and thought of where this would go. Kirstie grabbed his hand and he looks up at her and nodded.
"Me and Avi are dating..."
Scott and Kevin looked a little shocked and then they both smiled.
"Finally!" They said in unison.
"You guys have been waiting for this!?"
"Yeah, we all knew ever since that party that there was something between you two." Scott said.
"Duh, we just agreed not to bring it up." Kevin said.
"You guys are ridiculous."
The rest of the day was fun and tiring and they got back at around 8pm. Kirstie and Avi explained everything to Esther and she was completely ok with it. Everyone decided to go to bed early since the day was so tiring.
"Um, Avi?"
"Yeah babe?"
"Can I stay with you tonight?"
"Of course you can. Come on let's go."
Avi stripped down to his boxers and waited for Kirstie to come out of the bathroom of the hotel. He was already under the blankets and Kirstie came out in silky purple shorts and a silky purple tank top.
"I'm cold Avi."
"Well come here silly I kept the bed warm for you."
"Thanks haha."
Kirstie climbed in and rested her head on Avi's chest as he slid lower into the covers. Both fell asleep until about 2am. Kirstie woke up from a dream and startled Avi.
"Kirstie, are you ok?"
"Yeah, I just had a bad dream."
"What happened?"
"It was about Jeremy. He tried to get back with me and we started to fight and things didn't go well."
"I'm sorry Kirst, he can't get to you now, I've got you."
"Avi.. I.... I think.. that I love you."
"I think I love you too Kirstie."
Avi pulled Kirstie on top of him and wrapped his arms around her back. She looked up at him and kissed him. The kiss was slow and sweet but Kirstie wanted more. She ran her tongue along his lower lip causing him to moan a little bit. He pulled back to breath and looked into her eyes.
"I love you so much, Kirstie."
He continued to kiss her and this time it was a bit more heated. Their tongues fought for dominance and Avi won. He flipped them over so that Kirstie was underneath him. He kept her hands pinned above her head as he continued to kiss the girl underneath him. Kirstie went for his boxers and started tugging on them. They both stopped and looked at each other.
"Not yet." They said in unison.
"I love you Avi."
"I love you Kirstie."
The rest of the night Kirstie slept on Avi's chest and they both slept peacefully.
