6. Awkward

The next few days were spent with Avi trying to avoid Kirstie. He still wasn't for sure if she liked him or not so he didn't want it to be awkward. But that's just what happened. Kirstie wanted to tease Avi a little bit. She would talk to him more, not just about friendly things, she would try to touch him more, and she always seemed to be where Avi was going next. Kirstie was having so much fun with this. She wanted him to make the first move in advancing their awkward relationship. That's where all the teasing came in. She was basically dropping a shit ton of hints that she wanted him to do something. But with Avi being such a gentleman, he tried so hard to hold back, he was completely oblivious.  Until just that morning. He was walking past Kirstie's dressing room when he overheard his name being used.
"What's going on with you and Avi?" That was Genevieve.
"Well I guess I should probably tell someone... Promise me you won't say anything to anyone."
"Of course I won't."
"Ok... Welllllll I kinda sorta maybe really like Avi."
"Duhhhh Kirst, that's been obvious  for like a week now."
"How can you tell?"
"I see you dropping those hints to him, sometimes I don't think you're even trying to, and the was he looks at you... It's adorable."
"He looks at me?"
"All the time, you know those tumblr posts that have a prince staring at a princess and then it says 'I wish someone would look at me this way.' Well that's how he looks at you."
Kirstie was blushing furiously and so was Avi. He didn't know that Kirstie was trying to give him hints, he just thought it was his mind playing with him.
"Wow I never knew that, I'm gonna go talk to him."
Avi was stuck, he couldn't go anywhere, she would know that he was listening. Kirstie's door opened and there stood Avi.
"Oh uh hey Avi, what are you- "
Avi cut her off with a soft kiss. It didn't wasn't long until he pulled away and looked into her eyes.
"Hey."
"Hi."
There was an uncomfortable silence floating around them as they stood there staring into each other's eyes.
"Um Gen, can me and Avi talk for a sec, alone?"
"Sure thing." Genevieve said as she wiggles her eyebrows at Kirstie. She pulled Avi into the room and sat on the couch. Avi sat down facing her, still looking into each other's eyes.
"So how much did you here?"
"All of it." He said with a smile.
Kirstie blushed and looked down.
"Kirstie, I never knew you liked me back. That make out session we had was meaningless in the way that we both couldn't remember it. But it doesn't mean that I still think about it. I sometimes imagine what happened and get a warm feeling in my stomach. Just knowing that we did that... Makes me happy."
"I feel the same way about it. I just wish we could actually remember it instead of having to imagine what happened."
"You know, we could always reenact it."
"What do you mean?"
Avi smiled and scooted closer to Kirstie grabbing her face with his hands. He slowly started to lean in and Kirstie did the same resting her hands on his chest. As soon as their lips touched it was like heaven. Avi couldn't believe that this was happening and Kirstie couldn't think straight. They haven't even fully confessed to each other that they liked one another. But this kiss was all that was needed for them to poor out the emotions that they shared. The kiss wasn't anything too heated. Just the occasional sweep of the tongue across each other's bottom lip but that's it. It did last for quiet awhile until they pulled apart, foreheads resting against each other. Both of them were breathlessly giggling and still holding on to each other. Just then Scott walked in and saw the two. They instantly pulled apart and stared at Scott while Scott stared at them.
"Wha..." He couldn't wrap his mind around what he just saw. Two of his best friends/band mates were just all over each other.
"What's going on here?"
"Nothing Scott, Avi was just helping me with... with.."
"I was helping her think of new song ideas."
"Aaare you suuure?"
"Yep."
"Ok well I'll leave you two alone."
Scott left closing the the door behind him.
"That was close."
"Yeah, I don't think we should tell anyone yet."
"I agree."
"Well I have a question for you Kirstie."
"What is it?"
Avi grabbed both of her hands and looked into her eyes.
"Would you like to be my girlfriend?"
