Vanessa felt damn good knowing that her biggest problem at the moment was witch dress she was going to wear tonight or what she was going to put on her feet. Does she go with a cute wedge or some sexy fuck me pumps? That was the important question. Oh and gawd her eyeliner that was the real struggle. Did she want to wear a simple thin line or go for something more dramatic like the cat eye? She enjoyed being able to rest easy and focus on the little things. Like looking good and keeping her husband happy. Instead of losing her mind over Ray and his mess or Samantha threatening to blow her up her secrets. The only thing Nessa had to do was show up to her in-law's anniversary party and look AMAZING when she walked in the place on Andrew's arm.
"Vanessa are you ready now?" Andrew was dressed and ready, has been for the past hour. Just sitting, waiting. Tapping his right foot impatiently and toying with his cufflinks. "You keep this up and we're going to be late." He wanted to get there early enough to catch Tiffany. He knew as the party planner she would be there he just wasn't sure for how long she'd be staying and he wanted to talk to her. Apologize. Give explaining himself another shot...even though he did such a horrible job at it the first time.
"I'll be down in five." That was the third time she said that but this was the first time she meant it. Nessa was done playing deal or no deal with her full body mirror it was time they got going.

"Ray it's time to go!" Lauren has waited patiently long enough it was time to lite a match under her husband's ass.
"Yeah I'm coming." He was acting as if his tie selection was the most important decision he could make, like the right color would put a stop to world hunger.
"Kyle is waiting," Lauren spoke again after she noticed Ray wasn't moving at all.
"Kyle gets paid to wait. Relax Lauren I said I was coming. Don't rush me!" Ray didn't know why she was so excited about tonight. But unlike his wife Raymond wasn't looking forward to showing up to yet another thing that Andrew would get praised for putting together later even though Drew had just as little to do with putting this event together than Ray did. But that's just how it goes the golden boy strikes again without even trying. "Are you even ready?"
"Yes. I'm ready." Lauren has never been more ready in her entire life, she and Sarah actually completed the slideshow yesterday since Rosalie no longer wanted to help. Lauren was still pissed about that, where the hell was Rosalie's loyalty? Where was Shawn's loyalty? They both claimed to be her friends but couldn't stand by her side when Sarah, a woman who barely knew her did so without hesitation. "And so are you. The quicker we go is the quicker we can leave."
She had a point there. "Fine...I'll just go tie-less."
_____________
Lauren and Ray seemed to arrive around the same time as Andrew and Vanessa. Lauren who no longer roamed the world with rose colored glasses observed those around her and was able to see things clearly. Ray was obviously heartbroken to see his ex lover with his younger brother while Vanessa on the other hand didn't seem to care at all, she just held her husband's hand and smiled brightly greeting arriving guest and taking pictures. Catching up on lost times with those she hadn't seen in awhile. Vanessa didn't even give Raymond a second glance. But Andrew...he was the hardest for Lauren to read. He was smiling along with his wife but the man looked distracted. But distracted by what? Or in better words who?
"Nessa baby why don't you go on inside I'll be right back." It seemed as if Andrew couldn't get away fast enough and although Vanessa felt a way she proceeded inside anyway.
"Lauren you look beautiful tonight. Did you do something different to your hair?" Vanessa had made it her business to fill Lauren up with compliments oblivious to the fact that Lauren was sick of it all. Whether it was because of guilt and discomfort due to being seated alone at a table with her ex lover/ brother in-law and his crippled wife or just Vanessa trying to be funny Lauren didn't want her compliments and even after tonight she didn't even want an apology. What she wanted was for Vanessa to hurt to be so embarrassed that she found a rock and hid under it. But since they had at least an hour before that happened Lauren wanted to compliment her as well.
