Vanessa buried herself deeper into the covers she slept under pulling them up and over her head when she heard the bedroom door open because she knew shortly after that those damn curtains were going to be snatched open and the morning light was going to come in to get her.

"I know you aren't planning on staying in again today!" Vanessa's friend/coworker Rachel said. Vanessa had only been staying with her for four days but four days have felt like the longest days of Rachel's life.

Vanessa the depressed house guest was completely different from Vanessa the fun friend. She did nothing but mope around the house and complain. Making messes she doesn't even bother to clean. Not showing up for work and her sick days were running out and to be honest so was her welcome pass. Rachel wasn't sure if she could take another day of it. She had a child and a lazy man to cook and clean after she didn't want to do it for another adult. Especially one she couldn't trust. After hearing about what Vanessa has done Rachel didn't trust Vanessa at all. she damn sure didn't trust her around her man. No, Nessa never showed any signs of wanting to make a pass at Faheem but she did not show any signs of wanting to get with Ray either and apparently she went all porn star on him. Call it insecure because of the little baby weight Rachel still had yet to lose or the small stretch marks that now marked her tummy but Rachel wasn't about to compete with Ms.Freak nasty herself. Nope, not happenin. It was time Vanessa figured out her next move.

"Maybe you should start looking for a more stable place to stay. I have a list of small apartments and condo's they are really nice." Rachel decided to do some house hunting for her since it seemed like Vanessa needed a little push in the right direction.

"Apartments and condo's?" Vanessa sat up completely and pulled the covers from off of herself looking at Rachel like she had just grown an extra head. "Why would I need any of that if I have a home to go back to?"

Rachel shook her head. Just as Nessa was depressed she was just as much delusional. There was no home to go back to. No husband waiting for her in the driveway with opened arms. "Vanessa he shipped all of your belongings here yesterday." Faheem was already bitching about all the space Vanessa's things were taking up in the garage. "I doubt he is going to come around.I think he's really done." Andrew showed so signs of wanting Vanessa back. He didn't call, he didn't text, he didn't email, he hadn't even asked a friend of a friend about her whereabouts. Nothing!

"What kind of friend are you!" Vanessa couldn't believe how insensitive her so called 'friend' was being. Rachel used to idolize her relationship with Andrew and now she was downplaying it telling her to basically flush it down the damn toilet like some loose bowel movement!

"The kind who wants you to see things for what they really are," Racheal told her. "You had a good man one with money and a heart of gold and what do you do? You go and have an affair with his brother!"

"it was complicated and...wait are you forgetting the part where he cheated on me too!"

"All the more reason to let this marriage go. He's going to file for divorce and when he does I suggest you just make it easy and sign the papers."

It seemed like everybody wanted her to throw in the towel. To give up on a fifteen year relationship and an eight-year marriage. Hell no! "Racheal can I use your laptop?" Vanessa had an idea.
