It was the dinner night from Hell at least that's how it was for Lauren. After Pamela pretty much put her at fault for her broken marriage she suggested that Lauren do everything in her power to keep her man including firing the one person who helped keep her household together, Rosalie! Pam claimed having a hot latina working around the house was only giving Ray something exotic to look at and she wouldn't be surprised if Ray was screwing her too.
'Having another woman in your home is the biggest mistake you will ever make trust me I know' When Pamela said that Lauren knew that the women was speaking from past experiences. 'I stuck it out and eventually Frank saw that I was the one'.
Pamela meant no harm she really did think that her words of advice was helping Lauren like she was letting her daughter-in-law in on the secret truths in hopes that Lauren and Ray would have a successful marriage. Too bad her twisted words of "wisdom" wasn't helping Lauren it made her even more depressed knowing that she was going to be just like Pamela, the woman behind her man instead of the woman beside her man. Lauren just couldn't find comfort in that.
She couldn't be more grateful when Ray suggested they head home early. You see Lauren wasn't the only one eyeing the clock praying for the night to end. Ray sat next to his wife occasionally glancing across the table at Andrew and Vanessa. He hated to see his "Butterfly" with another man regardless of the fact that the other man was her husband.
Vanessa openly flirted with Andrew she was constantly kissing him every chance she got leaning over and whispering things to him and by the way Andrew looked back at her Ray knew she was whispering all the dirty things she was going to do when they got home. Probably all the dirty things she used to do with Ray in hotel rooms.
She was definitely letting Drew hit that again.
Vanessa had ended things with Ray months ago. She claimed that she loved her husband and what they were doing was betraying him in the worse possible way and she couldn't do it anymore. Ray understood until he recently found out she wasn't letting Andrew in either. She shut them both out and Andrew wasn't the only one trying to discover why.
At first, Ray thought it was because Vanessa loved him just as much as he loved her and she just didn't want to admit it because of her commitment to Andrew. He even tried to push Andrew to cheat in hopes that he could bring that proof to Vanessa and she could finally do what her heart desired. Ray couldn't be more wrong. Vanessa acted more like a woman who hated him and the ground he walked on than a woman who wanted him but just couldn't be with him.
Vanessa loved Andrew, Ray could see it . It was written all over her face. Seeing them all lovey dovey pissed him off and before he outed himself he took his family home early. The minute he got his wife and kids home safely he began to drink. He drank his Hennessy until he was drunk, hard and couldn't think straight.
Some people are emotional drunks, Angry drunks some even Horny drunks. Ray was all three. He wanted to cry and punch things and most of all he wanted to fuck! That's what brought him down the stairs and into the guest bedroom where his wife slept.
"Lauren?" He whispered while stumbling into her room.
Propping herself up on her elbows Lauren squinted her eyes trying harder to see Ray clearly through the darkness. "What's wrong?" Something had to be wrong Ray never came into her room. Her heart started to race. "is Petter's asthma acting up is RJ okay?!"
"No...they.. they are fine." Ray came closer his words coming out slurred. "Are you awake?"
"Obviously." Lauren rolled her eyes. She was really exhausted and wanted nothing more than to sleep. She had a long day ahead of herself tomorrow and that started with physical therapy. "What do you want?"
