mixed feelings - An Amourshipping Story

One of many sleepless nights

As ash layed in his sleeping bag with his pikachu right next to him, he kept wondering why he was feeling so weird, so different, this feeling was really very new to him. He slowly crept out of his sleeping bag trying not to wake his electrick friend. He put his hat on and left the tent, finding serena right outside. She was gazing at the stars as ash slowly approached her with his heart pounding on his chest at and enourmous rate. He slowly approached her from behind with his hands in his pockets,"hey",he said softly, trying not to startle her. Serena slowly turned around and gave her 'friend' a smile. Ash then smiled back and they both sat down gazing at the stars. "cant sleep huh", ash told serena as he tries to break the silence. Serena just simply replied with a nod as she looked at the stars. "me neither", ash said as he slowly got up and reached for serenas hand. "what ? ", serena replied curiously. "i wanna show you something", ash said as he grinned making serena blush and smile slightly. Ash couldn't notice that she was blushing because it was dark. Serena grabbed his hand as he pulled her up from the ground, a little to hard in fact. Hard enough to pull serenaright into his chest. This made serena blush even more and she knew that even the darkness of the night couldn't even hide this one, so she immediately turned away. Ash was somewhat glad that she turned away because he was blushing to.

"so where are we going ?",serena asked ash as they walked quite a distance. "i found this really beautiful hill while me and bonnie went to go train earlier", ash said with a smile, "i wanted to show it to you", he added. "but why ?", serena questioned just to keep the conversation going. "we cant sleep, right ?",ash answered with a question,"mhm", serena said as she nodded looking into ash's eyes, waiting for him to reply. "then we might as well embrace it", ash said with a wide smile which made serena to smile to.

They finally reached the place that ash was talking about, ash wasn't exagerrating this time, it was absolutely BEAUTIFUL !. "wow ash this place is really cool",serena said as she looked around in admiration. "told ya right", ash replied as he scratched his cheek, smiling away. The two of them just sat there next to each other, gazing at the beauty of nature,but nature wasn't the only thing that they were gazing at. Every now and then , either serena or ash would take a quick peep at the latter. "is this a date", serena thought in her mind. "NO it couldn't be, its just a walk serena, its just a walk", she assured herself, hoping that it wasn't really 'just a walk'. It kinda was but ash really just wanted to spend some alone time with serena. He didn't want to show it outwards of course.

Serena shivered in the cold breeze which blew over a hill in snowbelle city, which was where they were. Ash noticed her being cold and immediately took of his coat and put it on her. Serena appreciated what ash did and blushed."but then you'll be cold", she replied. "nah ill be fine", ash replied confidently but only to find himself shivering the next minute. Serena giggled at the sight of ash shivering after just boasting that he'll be fine, and she thought to herself,"ok serena nows your chance". She slowly took off ash's coat and put it back on him. Ash looked suprised," i thought you were cold ?", he asked her. She didn't reply and she slowly cuddled up next to him,"now we'll both be warm she said", ash blushed bright red as she moved closer and closer to him, placing her head on his chest. Serena was blushing too, too much actually, but ash couldn't see it because her head was on his chest.

"you cant sleep right", serena asked ash."yeah....", he replied knowing that serena already knew that so he was curious on why she was asking him that. "well why cant you ?" she asked. Ash now understood what serena was trying to tell him so he replied,"well actually.......... I was kinda thinking about you". Serena didn't respond as she was already too busy blushing and now she heard this.... It made her blush all the more. "its just that you were really sad after you helped me during dinner after that whole choking incident and you also seemed upset when i mentioned the Pokemon league earlier...... I know you said that you were just tired but i kinda felt that there was something more to it ", ash continued as his voice turned a bit more serious. "i was just thinking about that and thought if i had done anything wrong". "he was thinking about me" serena thought to herself with a surprised feeling and blushed..... It was now the time to tell him."well i was just worried about how you will perform in the league that's all. I know that you're really strong, but there are so many other trainers out there and i was worried if you'll be able to defeat them". Ash looked at serena who was now looking right into his eyes. Ash looked at her and with an assuring smile he replied,"im worried too but im just so psyched about battling against soo many strong trainers... It just gets me COMPLETELY FIRED UP". Serena looked at ash and couldn't help but smile,"of course you'll do well ..... I don't even know why i was worried now". She said. Ash smiled back, as they sat there for about for about two hours now. After about 15 minutes, ash was about to suggest that they should probably head back to where bonnie and clemont were, but he found that serema was already asleep on his chest. He looked at her sleeping and once he was sure if it, he took off his coat and put it on to her like a blanket. He just stayed there, awake the whole night, starring into the beauty of the hills and hoped that this moment could last forever.

it was 8:00am and ash was still awake, for reasons that he doesn't know. Maybe this time he just really couldn't sleep. Pikachu appeared followed up by bonnie and clemont. They had been searching for ash and serena for the last half hour. Bonnie looked at serena on ash's lap and giggled. Ash then waved at pikachu and woke serena up by mistake. Serena got up from ash's lap as soon as she found out that bonnie and clemont were there. As she immediately stood up wtih a bright pink blush on her face. "where were you guys ? We were searching for you for a half hour now". Ash just simply scratched his cheek and and sweat dropped. "oh well at least we found you", clemont sighed, and theh all headed back to camp to set off to lumiose city
