The talk at night

"i'll go check on her", ash said and walked towards the direction of serenas room. He knocked on the door, there was no reply so he knocked again and serena responded,"what do you want ?", she asked sternly. "i was hoping we could talk", ash said sounding despertate. "yeah well i was hoping that i could be alone", serena said with a harsh tone. "c'mon serena, don't be this way. Please let me in, ill make it quick", ash said sounding like as if he was almost begging. " ugh fine", serena growned as she opened the door and quickly payed down on the bed again, plajting her face deep into her pillow. "hey serena tell me what's wrong", he pleaded. Serena the calmed down a little as she said,"yeah well thing is that i cant tell you ash", in a sarcastic way. "c'mon you can tell me anything just like how i can tell you anything". Ash replied. "really ash ! Can you really tell me everything that's on your mind ?", she asked him, with her voice getting calm again. Ash was about to shout a big Y-E-S, before he realized that there were some things that he couldn't share with her. "thought so", serena said as her voice turned stern again and she turned away from ash, now facing a wall. "o-ok fine ..... Maybe there are some things that i cant tell you...... But at least let me help you feel better". "oh oh really ok fine then ASH....... MAKE ME FEEL BETTER", serena replied with the most sarcastic yet quite angry tone of voice that ash had erver heard in his life. But immediately after she told ash to make her feel better (in a sarcastic tone of course) she felt two arms wrapping around her as ash brought her closer into a hug. She was just sitting there speechless and that hug lasted about five minutes. "does this help", ash asked jokingly. "yes..... Yes it does", serena replied in a joke like manner as well. They continued to hug untill there was a knock on the door. "ill get it", serena told ash softly. "nah ill get it ...... I got to head back to my room anyway". Oh ok........... Serena replied " i was jus-.........." she added but stopped mid-sentence. " you were just what ", ash asked her. "well i was just hoping that we could talk some more before we sleep". Ash was about to reply but was interrupted by the knocking on the door again. Ash got up to answer the door and found that it was bonnie. "hey ash i wanted to sleep now....... Are you done in there ?", she asked slyly. "actually i was hoping that you could sleep in my room tonight, me and serena are gonna talk for a little while longer....... Is that okay with you ?", he asked her. "oh right 'talk' yeah gotcha",bonnie winked and headed towards ash's room to sleep. Ash was surprised by her comment. "say goodnight to serena form me k", she added and shut the door of her room. Ash shut his door as well and went back to talk to serena. "i thought you were going there ?", serena asked acting as if she didn't know that ash was going to stay in her room for the night. "well i thought that i could stay here and talk some more y'know", ash said. "only if its ok with you", he added. "no no im fine with it", serena frantically responded. "so what did ya wanna talk about ?", she asked him. "now that you think of it, i really don't know", ash replied as he sweatdropped and scracthed the back of his head. Serena giggled,"how bout we just go to sleep then", she suggested. "yeah that sounds good", ash said as he lied down on his bed which was directly opposite to serenas. Serena lied down as well and there was an awkward silence for a while as they both payed down, looking at the ceiling.

'should i ask him' serena thought in her head

'fine i will' she decided before she spoke to ash

"he-hey ash", she said with a nervous stutter. "yeah", ash blankly replied. "well i-i was wondering ab-about what you were planning for the league". 'cmon serena ..... You know that's not the question you want to ask him ! ..... You want to ask him what hes going to do AFTER the league..... Not DURING it !' she thought to herself immediately after asking ash her question. "im not really sure... I guess that we'll just have to train hard and hope for the best", ash said with a grin towards the ceiling. "yeah i guess you cant really plan these things", serena said with a grin as well. "ugh battles seem to be much more easier than these showcases that i do. You just need to go with the flow while i have to plan each and every move to the exact second", serena said with a little frustration, but in a soft kind of way. "that may be true, but battling is tough in its own way too. Like you said. You get to plan your each and every move and you don't have to worry about what your opponents will do coz they'll come on satge another times while i, i have to expect the unexpected. A battle could be going your way but it could immediately change in a matter of seconds. So in the end, both battles and showcases are difficult in their own ways", ash ended of and found serena starring right at him. " wow ash ..... I guess the night makes you talk funny hehe...... Its just that you sounded all serious and intellingent while you said that..... Which qiute frankly you aren't", serena said giggling. "maybe i shoulve just slept in my room", ash sighed. "maybe", serena added, giggling once more and this time ash giggled along as well. "well i guess we should get some sleep now", ash stated as he yawned. "you guessed right", serena said as she yawned as well. "goodnight ash", she said sleepily. "goodnight", ash responded and they both slept immediately, with smiles stuck on their faces.
