A frosty experience

The next day, ash woke up a little later as usual. He went to the bathroom and got ready. When he went out, she saw that everyone was there having breakfast. As clemont had promised, there was a lot of food there. Clemont reserved about three extra plates of food for ash (inexclusive of the number of plates he usually reserves). "good morning", ash greeted everyone as he walked towards the table. He received the same reply from everyone. "wow clemont that's a lot of food", ash said as he sat at the table with his mouth watering. "wow that's a lot comming from you ash", clemont responded giggling. "yeah i guess you're right", ash responded giggling as well. Ash immediately grabbed a fork and began to gobble down as much food as he could. "it tastes great clemont", ash said with food in his mouth. "i glad you like it but you could eat a little slower", clemont sweatdropped as he replied. "yeah.... You don't want to start choking like you did last time", serena added. Ash then simply scratched the back of his head and sweatdropped as he heard what serena said. After they all finished eating clemont suggested that they should set off on their journey again. "actually i was kinda hoping that i could head over to the frost cavern here and do some training", ash responded. "oh ok.... Then how bout we set off to route 15 tomorrow then ?", clemont asked. "sounds great ...... Ill be heading off to train now", ash responded as he picked up his bag. "hey ash do you mind if i came with you ?", serena asked. "no not at all", ash replied with a grin. "clemont, bonnie, do you guys wanna come to", ash asked them. "nah i don't really want to walk when i don't really have to", clemont replied. "actually im gonna stick with clemont on this one. My head still hurts when i stand for too long", bonnie replied as well. "oh ok then", ash replied with a slight frown as he and serena were about to leave the Pokemon centre. "we'll be back before dinner k", ash told bonnie and clemont. "we know you wont miss dinner anyway ash", clemont replied giggling. Ash giggled back. "bye guys", serena waved. "bye", clemont and bonnie replied in unison.

ash and serena walked for about 15 minutes untipl they finally reached the cave (frost cavern). They went inside and as the name implies, the air was really frosty. Serema was well prepared for the cold weather in the cave and she brought gloves, a scarf and a hat for herself to keep her warm. On the other hand, her companion ash had just brought his normal clothes with him. Luckily, serena had brought an extra scarf along with her in her backpack. "here", she said as she handed the extra scarf for ash. "thanks", ash replied, shivering in the cold. "soooooooo.... What kind of training were you expecting to do here ?", serena asked him curiously. "well i actually just wanted to check this place out", ash said sweatdropping and scratching the back of his head. Serena blinked at him not knowing what to reply, she was in a slight shock because ash was the person that they were heading to the league for and he's usually the one who never goes to some place which is not really needed to reach his destination. "and plus i was kinda tired and thought that we could all use a break", he added to his last comment. "you cant be serious right ?", serena asked ash in disbelief. "you of all people thought that you could take a rest in the middle of your journey". "ye-yeah........ ?", ash responded nervously. "well we might as well explore it since we're here", serena said looking into the distance of the cave.

as they walked for some time into the cave, they encountered a group a piloswine. Ash slowly approached it. " what are you doing !", serena asked in a loud whisper not wanting to disturb the piloswine. "don't worry ill be fine"! , ash replied in a whisper as well. "just be carefull k", seere told him. As he slowly approached the piloswine, ok of them notifed him and tackled him to the ground. "ASH !", serena screamed in fright as she saw ash falling down. Serenas scream got the attention of all the piloswine. The group of piloswine turned over to serena and used stone edge. Luckily ash came in between and pulled serena away from the attack. The missed attack hit the ceiling of the cave and caused the rocks of the cave to fall down sealing the path from which they entered the cave. It also sealed away the piloswine from ash and serena. "you alright ?", ash asked serena as he got up from the ground, since he pushed serena away from the piloswines stone edge. "yeah im alright", serena responded, dudting of some of the fallen debris. "here", ash said as he stretched out his hand to pick up serena from the ground. Serena smiled and held his hand. "thank you", she said as finally got up. Ash gave a wide frin back at her, but that grin was soon replaced with a frown. "what's wrong ?", serena asked looking at ash. "how are we gonna get back now ?", ash asked her looking at the sealed path. "well somehow", serena replied giggling. Ash just smiled back but immediately looked back in The direction of the sealed path. "well lets try to get going", ash said walking off in the opposite direction of the wall made by the fallen debris. Serena then just quietly followed up behind.

they walked along a path for a while untill they reached a rock made out of ice. Serena walked over to the rock and was about to touch it. "stop !!", ash yelled, pushing serenas hand away from the rock. "ouch ...... Why did you do that ?!", serena asked him. "that's the ice rock..... You'll freeze if you touch it", ash told serena. "oh.....", serena replied softly with her head tilted to the ground embarrassed. "th-thanks", she told ash with her head still tilted to the ground. "its okay don't worry about it", ash replied to serena with a grin. This grin made serena feel a lot better. "so what does it do ?", serena asked ash. "if it does do anything that is", she added. "well if an eevee touches it it'll evolve into a glaceon", ash replied. "so my eevee could evolve if it touches it ?", serena asked. "i guess so", ash replied. "how do you know about all this anyway ?", serena asked ash. "well travelling through 6 regions you learn stuff", ash replied scratching his cheek. "i guess so", serena replied. "we still need to get out though", ash said looking deep into the ice rock. "yeah", serena blankly replied. "WAIT !", serena suddenly yelled in excitement. "cant you use talonflame to melt the icy rocks of the cave. After you do that we could strike the wall and break through", serena added still with an excited voice. "Oh yeah you're right !", ash yelled in excitement as well. "talonflame c'mon out", ash yelled as he threw out a pokeball. "fla-flame",talonflame screached as it came out. "talonflame i need you to go near the wall of the cave and use overheat. The Pokemon nodded and went near the wall the cave. It used overheat like it was asked to and melted the ice away. "thanks a lot", ash said to his Pokemon as he petted it. "ok now greninja i need your help", ash yelled as he threw out another pokeball. "greninja i need you to use hydro pump on the wall of the cave", "ninja", greninja said before it did as it was told. "ok now talonflame use brave bird and pikachu use iron tail", ash yelled as his Pokemon jumped up to use their moves. After the two Pokemon hit the wall, there was a dust flying everywhere and nothing could be seen. After the dust cleared, ash and serena saw that there was now a hole in the cave and they could leave. "you did it ash", serena yelled. "thanks but it was all because of my Pokemon", ash said as he petted all his Pokemon. "ok thanks a lot guys return", ash said as he pressed the middle buttons of greninjas and talinflames pokeballs. After ash retrived his Pokemon in their pokeballs, he asked serena if they shall leave. Serena nodded and they left the cavern. They took off their scarves and stuff which they put on to keep themselves warm. "well i hope you learned your lesson ash", serena said jokingly. "oh yes i have ........ Never go somewhere which wasted time on my journey to be a Pokemon master", he replied giggling. Serena giggled as well. They both walked untill they finally came back to the Pokemon centre. They were just in time for dinner as they promised. They ate their dinner and went to their rooms to sleep since they were tired of walking for hours in the cave.
