Tomorrow's Halloween! Who's excited?

Barry Allen

I woke up to the blaring sound of my alarm clock. Turning over I saw that I was late. Using my speed, I quickly got ready and raced down to S.T.A.R. Labs. "Morning, Barry," Caitlin said. I flashed a smile and greeted her back, following her into the cortex.

"Mr. Allen, glad you could make it," Dr. Wells said. I nodded and opened my mouth to say something when Cisco walked by on the phone.

"Yes! That sounds amazing. Tonight at 8 it is. See you there. Bye," Cisco said into the phone and hung up. We all stared at him. "Guess who has a date? She's a hot redhead with green eyes. My dream girl," he told us all. Dr. Wells nodded with an amused smile on his face.

"And what's this dream girl's name?" he questioned.

"Kaylin Dark." I choked on the water in my mouth as my eyes went wide. Kaylin?

"Kaylin Dark? College girl? CCU?" I asked. Cisco nodded.

"You know her?"

"Yeah. She's best friends with Eddie. You're dating her?" I asked him. He shrugged.

"I wouldn't say dating. She's the one who asked me on a date," he muttered. Caitlin smiled and shook her head.

"You do know it won't last, right?" she asked Cisco. He grinned.

"I don't know, man. She seems like the perfect girl for me. We both love science and technology. We both love videogames. All I hear is a perfect match," he told us. I smiled and nodded, dropping the topic. Poor, poor Kaylin. She has to go on a date with Cisco Ramon.

Kaylin Dark

"So what's this guy's name again?" Izzie asked as I put my earrings in. I rolled my eyes.

"Cisco Ramon. He's the guy who works at S.T.A.R. Labs. I contacted him and asked him out on a date," I explained. Izzie raised an eyebrow. "Izzie, girls can ask guys out on dates, too, you know. It's not against the law," I sang. She laughed and continued to read her magazine.

"What's this guy look like anyways?" I shrugged before a knock sounded on the door. I opened it up and saw Cisco standing there with flowers and a grin.

"Hi, Kaylin," he told me. I smiled.

"Hi, Cisco." Izzie looked up. "Cisco, this is my roommate, Izabella White. Also known as Izzie," I introduced. Izzie waved, gaining a wave back from Cisco. I smiled and he handed me the flowers. I took them and stopped in front of Izzie. "Mind putting these in water? I don't want to miss our reservations," I told her. Izzie nodded and took them.

"As you wish, Mrs. Ramon," she teased. My face went scarlet and I turned to Cisco.

"You wanna leave?" he asked me. I nodded and followed him out of the dorm room, leaving behind Izzie. "You know, I was a little surprised when you asked me out on a date, Kaylin," Cisco told me. I nodded and shrugged.

"If you don't make the first move, then I will. I am a girl who waits for nothing. Except grades," I told him. He nodded and focused on the road. "So, what's it like still working at S.T.A.R. Labs?" I questioned. He looked over to me and laughed. "What?"

"Kaylin, isn't the guy supposed to learn about the girl on the first date?" he asked. I shook my head.

"It goes both ways, Cisco," I teased. He nodded and looked back to the road. I jumped as a red blur sped by us. "What the-"

"I'm gonna kill him," Cisco muttered as he looked at his phone. I glanced at the picture and it was of us. In the car. Right when he sped by.

"You have his number?" I shrieked. Cisco's eyes widened.

"What? No? My...friend hacked the traffic light camera," he lied. I raised an eyebrow.

"Whatever. I'll let it slide since we all have secrets," I muttered. He nodded and gave me a grateful smile.

Because mine will get everyone killed, I thought. I shook the thought out of my head as we pulled up to the restaurant.

Barry Allen

I laughed as I showed Caitlin the picture. "You scared the poor girl half to death," Caitlin told me with a frown. I shrugged.

"I wanted to meet her and I just so happened to be coming back from a call. She's cute," I said as I studied her scared look. Dr. Wells stared at the picture.

"Cisco's girlfriend looks a little familiar to me. What did you say her last name was again?" Wells asked me.

"Dark. Kaylin Dark. Why? Do you know her?" I questioned. Dr. Wells looked to me with a fearful look on his face.

"No, but I thought I did," he told me. I nodded.

Kaylin Dark

Cisco stared at my dorm room door. "What?" I asked him. He shook his head. He looked towards the ground, fiddling with his fingers. "Is there something wrong?" I asked. He looked into my eyes.

"Kaylin, I had fun tonight. And...I was wondering if you'd want to do this again? As in a date?" Cisco asked me. I smiled.

"That would be amazing, Cisco. See you later?" He nodded and smiled. I waved and walked in my dorm room, shutting the door behind me. Izzie stared at me with sympathy. "What?"

"Kaylin, I don't think it's a good idea for you to continue seeing Cisco," Izzie blurted out. I slammed my purse on the dresser.

"And why not?" I yelled. She stood up from the desk chair.

"You know why! It's not safe for either of you! If he finds out who you really are, then all hell will break loose! And you know I'm not talking about Cisco Ramon," she hissed. I frowned.

"How do you know he's actually here? Maybe that is the real man, Izzie. Ever think about that?" I shouted. She glared at me. "Think about it, Izzie. If I can get close to Cisco I can stop him," I told her with a small smile. She shook her head.

"You can't take back what happened to us, Kaylin. It's not possible. You can't change the past, but you can control your future. Don't get involved in his life. It's not worth losing him all over again," Izzie explained. I shook my head.

"No matter how many times you tell me it won't stop me. So don't even try," I informed her before walking in the bathroom. Izzie stormed in.

"You think he won't recognize you?" she shouted. "Kaylin, he's a powerful man! He'll kill you in a heartbeat!" she said. Her gaze softened as tears started to fall from her brown eyes. She pushed a strand of brown hair behind her ear. "I can't lose you again," she whispered. I snatched my phone.

"Izabella White, I am not your responsibility," I said.

"No. But I am your best friend. And I care about you like a sister," she said. I scoffed and grabbed my backpack that I always carry around town. I walked out of the dorm room. "Where are you going?" Izabella asked. I just slammed the door and kept on walking down the road. The rain started to pour down on me, soaking me to the bone. Lightning flashed and thunder roared. I shivered slightly as I rubbed my arms up and down. Headlights appeared in the distance. They got closer and closer with every second. The car swerved, coming onto the sidewalk. My eyes widened as the car hit me, knocking me out. I blacked out.
