Kaylin Dark
"Hello, Daddy," I said in a funny voice, making him laugh. He placed his hands on his hips, smiling down at me.
"Are you Yogi Bear?" I nodded and took a pancake off of his plate. "Yogi, you know not to steal food," he play-scolded. I giggled and took a bite of it, smiling up at him. He picked me up and started tickling me, making me laugh. His phone rang, and he put me down. I frowned.
"Daddy," I whined.
"Hello?" His gaze hardened, scaring me. I was only 3. That look scared me. "I'm on my way." He hung up and looked at me. "Sorry, Kaylin. I have to go. I'll see you later." I nodded and crossed my arms over my chest. He gave me a kiss on the head and ran out, leaving a trail of lightning behind him. I found myself smiling again. I love it when he does that.
I stared at the picture in my hands. "Are you saying what I think you're saying?" I whispered to Izzie. She nodded.
"I'm sorry, Kaylin. But it's true. Don't tell anyone, though. It could come to an advantage. By the way, you were really cute as a little kid. I envy you," she said with a wink. I laughed and stuffed the photo of my dad and I under my mattress and finished getting ready.
"Ready?" Cisco asked. I nodded and followed him out of the dorm room. "Are you okay? Ever since you left S.T.A.R. Labs you've been acting really weird," he told me. I shrugged.
"Dr. Wells...said something. Something I hoped wasn't true. It was about my family. Enough about me. How's your week been?" I asked. Cisco shrugged, holding my hand as we walked.
"Good. I guess. Barry's been busy. He told me that you know. How did you get here exactly? In this time I mean," he questioned.
"And you want me to stop him?" I asked. They nodded. "How? Detaining him? It's impossible! I've seen what he can do. He's impossible to stop!" I exclaimed. The agents looked at each other.
"Kaylin, he's been stopped before. In another timeline. It was reversed by accident and no one was able to retrieve that time. Hence the reason you're standing here now with a husband and two kids at home," one of them said. I scoffed and shook my head, running a hand through my hair.
"If what you're saying is true, then whoever defeated him killed him. If that's the only way to stop him then how do I survive?" They both frowned. I nodded. "I don't," I whispered. The other stepped up.
"Ms. Allen, you'd be doing millions, billions of people a favor by stopping him. The only problem is finding a time where he hasn't become evil." I nodded, thinking it through for a moment.
"Do the experiment."
"Are you sure?"
"For now, yes. Now just do it before I change my mind!" I snapped. They nodded, their eyes wide, before give me the serum. I winced as the needle came in contact with my skin. It was a really big needle. "How long will it take?"
"A few hours. A day or two at the most. Thank you, Ms. Dark. The world appreciates your service." I smiled a bit.
"I have to go home and say goodbye. Thank you, guys. Wish me luck." I ran home, throwing open the front door. I saw my husband chasing Chase around. He looked up and smiled when he saw me.
"Hi, Kaylin. How was work?" he asked, finally grabbing Chase. I laughed and smiled, shrugging.
"Interesting. Like always. How were Chase and Bree?"
"Good. Well, Chase is a bit of a cookie monster. But other than that they've been on their best behavior." I gave him a quick peck on the lips, smiling as I did so.
