Kaylin Dark

Barry and Eddie surprisingly didn't say anymore about what I had said. They probably just thought that I used photoshop or something, but didn't want me in a crazy house. Cisco went on a few more dates with me and we talked about what we would do if we stayed together and even got married. Dr. Wells and I kept working on our plan to kill Barry. Correction: his plan to kill Barry. Mine to kill Dr. Wells. As I stood in the time vault alone, I stared at Gideon. Dr. Wells had already left, and I can get into the time vault. "Gideon," I said. She came on the screen.

"Yes, Kaylin?"

"Show me the future. My future," I ordered.

"Of course, Ms. Dark." A video of me laughing with two kids popped up. Their names were Bree and Chase. But they looked different. I saw a man come up to me and kiss me. When he turned around, I saw that it definitely wasn't Barry.

"Okay," I said abruptly. The videos faded away.

"Is there anything else, Ms. Dark?" I shook my head.

"No. That is all. Just make sure Dr. Wells doesn't know about this."

"As you wish, Ms. Dark." I smiled and walked out of the time vault and into the empty hallways of S.T.A.R. Labs.

I walked into the dorm room and saw that Izzie wasn't there. I sighed before my eyes widened. Classes! Izzie's in classes! I've been skipping a few here and there. I shook my head. What's the point? I might as well kill who I was meant to kill. "But that would mean killing your best friend." I spun around and saw Izzie leaning against the doorway. "And you don't have the guts to do it," she continued. "But you want the evil Eobard Thawne to be dead. But doing that would kill you and your future children. You don't want that. But you don't want anyone else to die." Izzie looked at me with sympathy. "So just do it, Kaylin. Kill Eobard Thawne." I gulped.

"You don't have to use your ability on me, Izabella," I grumbled. She chuckled.

"I kind of had to. You've been skipping classes more often. People are wondering where you've been. But you don't need college. You already know everything. What aren't you telling me, Kaylin?" she asked softly.

"I've been working with Dr. Wells to kill Barry." Her eyes widened. "But instead I was planning to kill him. But now that you said what I was too scared to say, I accepted it. Why kill a speedster when I can prevent him from becoming one?" She smiled.

"When?" I shrugged.

"I...I don't know. Maybe when Wells is going to try and put his plan in action," I suggested. She nodded and placed a hand on my shoulder.

"Do you want me to kill him? Or you? And before you bring up the mission, remember: you won't be there for the people who assigned it to you to yell at. You'll be gone. Never even born," she replied. I nodded.

"I'll do it."

I walked into S.T.A.R. Labs and headed straight towards the Cisco-ed Treadmill. I sat down on it and tried to think about everything. But I just couldn't. I couldn't because Barry and Caitlin both walked in the Cortex at the same exact time. All of the sudden Barry sped out in his suit. I met Caitlin's gaze and walked over to her. "What's going on?" I asked. She frowned.

"Captain Cold is back. And he has Cisco," she told me. My eyes widened.

"What?" I whispered. She nodded. "Barry, I'm going with you," I told him. He shook his head. "Barry, I swear to-"

"I'm fine." I looked behind Barry to see Cisco standing there. I ran up to him and threw my arms around him.

"Are you okay? How'd you escape? Did he hurt you?" I asked as I examined his arms. He grabbed my wrists and forced me to look him in the eyes.

"I'm fine, Kaylin. I'm fine." I nodded and wrapped my arms around him again.

"You scared me and I barely even knew for a minute that you were gone," I told him softly. He chuckled and nodded.

"Go wait in the hall. I need to talk to you. But first I need to talk to them," he said, gesturing to Dr. Wells, Barry, and Caitlin. I nodded and frowned, but walked out into the hall anyways. I couldn't hear what he was saying, but I guess that was the point. After a few minutes Cisco walked out of the cortex. "Do you want to go get something to eat? I'm a little hungry after everything that's happened." I shrugged and nodded.

"I'm starving. Let's go," I told him with a grin. He chuckled and we walked to Jitters. After taking up a table for two and getting our coffees, Cisco played with his mug awkwardly. "You okay?" He nodded.

"We've been together for about a year now, right?" he asked. I nodded, not knowing where this was going. "There's something I've been meaning to ask you. Kaylin, will you move in with me?"
