Barry Allen

Kaylin walked in the Cortex a few minutes later, Dr. Wells wheeling in after her. She walked right past me with a slight frown. Cisco furrowed his eyebrows in confusion at her. I shook my head, telling him not to get involved. "You okay, Kaylin?" Caitlin asked. She looked up from her phone and nodded.

"Yeah. Just fine." She met my gaze before looking back down at her phone. She smiled a bit at it. I walked over and sat next to her. I caught a glimpse of the screen before she quickly shut it off. Was that...me and her? "What's up?" she whispered. I shrugged.

"Nothing. You just seem a little off. Did he say something to you?" I asked. She shook her head.

"No. Just not feeling well today," she replied. I nodded and thought back to the picture.

"What was the picture you were looking at?" I questioned. "Can I see it?" She stayed silent. "Please?" I whispered, nudging her with a small smile. She chuckled and turned her phone back on. She showed me a picture of her and a few other kids when she was little. That wasn't the picture she was looking at before.

"It's me and the kids from one of the foster homes I was in as a kid. Just thinking of them." She was lying about thinking about them. I could tell she just found a random picture. I nodded and put on a fake smile before getting up. Cisco looked at me weirdly as I pulled him out of the cortex and down the hall.

"Dude, what is going on?" he asked.

"Kaylin has no pictures of me with her," I said. He raised an eyebrow.

"And?"

"She was just looking at a picture of me and her. Never have we taken a picture together," I whispered. His eyes widened. "What?" I asked.

"When Kaylin told me everything about her she said that she had a husband and two kids. And then when she came back here for a 'mission' she was a college student at CCU. Barry, what if she was married to you?" My eyes were wide this time. "I mean it's possible. We've learned that anything is possible now. And have you seen the way that she looks at you? Yes, I can tell she likes me. Like like like me. But the look in her eyes. She loved you. It's a possibility," Cisco explained. I frowned.

"But she-" I stopped myself. What Cisco was saying was true. It could be possible. "You're right," I whispered.

Kaylin Dark

"Kaylin Ramon. That actually does have a nice ring to it," Izzie said as I laid down on my bed in our dorm room. I snorted.

"That's what you said about Kaylin Allen. And when you met me as Kaylin Dark." I sat up. "How did you figure out about where I'm from?" I asked her. She raised an eyebrow.

"You, my friend, are a very stupid girl. You left your phone unlocked. I knew it when I saw the pictures of you and your husband with your kids. I have to say that your husband is very hot. Barry Allen. Izzie Allen." I rolled my eyes. "Nah. Like you said. It's Iris West-Allen," she said with a shrug. I groaned.

"Don't remind me." She chuckled.

"Kaylin Ramon could happen, though. If you don't go through with the mission, that is." My eyes widened.

"Izzie, I have to go through with the mission. No matter what I'll die," I whispered. She bounced on my bed, making me hit my head on the headboard and I let out an 'oomf'.

"But what if you don't?"

"I'm not following," I told her. She rolled her eyes. "Keep rollin'. Maybe you'll find your brain one day," I teased. She scoffed and rolled her eyes again, making me chuckle.

"So you're telling me you haven't thought this through." I stared at her flatly. "Kaylin! They don't want you to kill Dr. Wells!" she yelled. The walls were very thin and she realized her mistake quickly before shrugging. "They want you to kill Eobard Thawne."

"Yes. Dr. Wells."

"No. Think. Whose name is Eobard Thawne also?" I thought about it for a moment before I sat up.

"Eddie! They want me to kill Eddie? Why?" I asked. She shook her head.

"You're clueless," she muttered. "If you kill Eddie then Eobard Thawne would never have been born. Neither would you. They want you to kill Eobard Thawne. Wells is the other Eobard Thawne. So if you kill him technically you'd live since he's still his same age." My eyes widened when I processed what she was saying.

"The reason I never thought about it was because they just told me to kill Eobard Thawne, not knowing that Dr. Wells was there!" I exclaimed. She nodded and I frowned.

"What? Did I forget something?" she asked. I nodded.

"How exactly would I kill a speedster?"

"Wait for Dr. Wells to give you the instructions to taking out Barry Allen. Duh." I hugged her and raced out the door, down to the precinct. I stopped at Eddie's desk.

"Hey, Kaylin. What's up?" he asked with a smile. I leaned on his desk.

"I need a gun," I said. His smile fell and he put his coffee down. "Like right now. Or sometime close to now. In the next few months. I just need a gun," I rambled softly. He grabbed my arm and pulled me up to Barry's lab.

"Slow down. Why in hell would you need a gun? You're a college student," he whispered. Eddie can know about me. I smiled sheepishly. "What aren't you telling me, Kaylin?"

"I'm not a college student. Well at least I wasn't." He raised an eyebrow. "You're gonna want to put me in a mental institution after I say this but I need to tell you. I'm from the future." He stared at me like I was crazy. "And I was sent here on a mission to kill someone. But killing them would kill me. Then I found a loophole." He was silent.

"You're crazy," he whispered. I chuckled.

"I get that a lot." He rolled his eyes.

"Kaylin, this is beyond crazy. And if it's true, who do you have to kill?" he asked. I gulped. I didn't think that he would ask this question. I looked to the ground. "Who, Kaylin?" Barry walked in and I met his gaze. "Kaylin, answer me! Who did you have to kill before you found a loophole?" I sucked in a deep breath. Telling him may cost me everything I have. Barry stared at me, wanting to hear the answer.

"I can't tell you," I whispered. Barry's eyes lowered towards the ground. Eddie straightened up, taking his hands off of my shoulders. "But I can tell you something from the future. I have proof, too." Barry met my gaze again.

"Well?" Eddie asked. I took out my phone and showed him the picture. Barry studied it. "Is that-"

"Me, Barry, and our two kids. I might have gone back in time to escape my father, but still making me exist. There I fell in love with Barry Allen and two years later I became Kaylin Allen," I replied. Barry's eyes widened along with Eddie's.

"Kaylin," Eddie whispered. I lowered my gaze as he held my phone. He and Barry looked through the photos in that album as they swiped through them. That album was of mine and Barry's little family.

"It's enough proof because if you looked up the names Bree and Chase Allen it won't come up anywhere. And Barry and I are older. But I changed this timeline by accident. And Barry doesn't end up with me." Barry stared at me in confusion. "I don't know who he ends up with," I lied. "But I know it's not me." Eddie handed me back my phone.

"Who is it that you need to kill, Kaylin?"

"You need to kill someone?" Barry whispered. I nodded.

"Yes."
