HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
Kaylin Dark
I walked in the dorm room, shutting the door behind me. "You're an idiot," Izzie sang. I raised an eyebrow.
"And why is that?" I questioned. She set down her book and shook her head.
"Your boyfriend stopped by and you weren't here. He said he needed your help with some metahuman," she replied. My eyes widened. The girl that can teleport. I rushed out the door and to STAR Labs, running without stopping. I ran in the cortex and saw Barry pacing.
"Kaylin," Caitlin said. I rushed over to Barry.
"What's going on? Where's Cisco?"
"Right here!" Cisco called out, walking into the cortex. I breathed a sigh of relief and sat down, the exhaustion from running just hitting me.
"Hey. Sorry. I was out when you stopped by. Whatcha need?" Cisco grabbed my arm, pulling me out of the cortex. "Woah. You could've just asked me to follow," I teased. He rolled his eyes. "Rolling your eyes. This must be serious."
"I need help with something. There's this offer that I'm considering. An offer that one of the metahumans offered me. I need your help deciding what to do," he explained. I nodded, waiting for him to explain.
"It's about what happened to Ronnie." My eyes widened.
"Caitlin's fiancé, Ronnie?" He nodded. I shook my head. "I think it's best to just leave this alone. Cisco, trust me. It's just not worth the risk," I said.
"Can I speak to you, Ms. Dark?" I heard Dr. Wells ask. I nodded and followed him down the hall while Cisco went back in the Cortex.
"Where are we going?" I whispered before he stopped in front of the wall. He placed his hand on one of the wall panels and the one next to it dissolved. "Your time vault," I breathed. He nodded and wheeled inside it. I quickly followed him inside. "Why did you bring me in here? I'm a risk." He stood up out of the wheelchair, throwing his glasses on the seat.
"I want you to 'abort' your mission and help me," he said. I shook my head. "Think about it, Kaylin. You've already changed the timeline too much. I know you told Cisco everything. I could see it just by the way you two look at each other. And I know you change who you marry. So you shouldn't have any problem killing him," he explained. I shook my head, clenching my fists at my sides.
"Do not hurt Barry. Do not kill him. What if we just go back to our time and leave them alone? Everything could reset to the way it was before," I negotiated. He raised an eyebrow.
"You would still be with Barry. You would still be Kaylin Allen. Not Kaylin Thawne."
"Kaylin Dark. It's Kaylin Dark here, and it will be until I get married again." He rolled his eyes. "Think about it, Wells. What if we just go home? Don't you want to go home? Hell, you can only go back a certain amount and we can relive my childhood. We can make it better. Make it a normal one. Well, normal there," I replied. He shook his head.
"No! Kaylin, no. Marry whoever you want. Anyone but Barry. You could marry Cisco if you wanted." Kaylin Ramon. Not bad. "But help me kill Barry," he pleaded.
"Kill the man I love? The father of my children? I'd rather let him be with Iris," I hissed before starting to walk out. I stopped and turned around, staring at the wall. "Gideon," I whispered. I ran up to her. "Gideon, show me the future." A newspaper article showed up. "Flash Missing, Vanishes in Crisis," I read. I looked at the bi-line. "By Iris West-Allen." Dr. Wells stood there, a sly smirk on his face. I sighed, knowing I changed too much. "Fine. I'm in."
