Good morning, my lovely people who read this weird fanfiction. :) How was your night last night? Mine was pretty fun. I got to like lead this guy on with the help of my two friends. One of them was at bowling and I was texting the other. Ah. Fuckboys. Well, enjoy Chapter 3!

Kaylin Dark

"Come on, Kaylin, help me study!" Alex whined. I looked up at the 16 year old with a raised eyebrow.

"Okay, you're older than me and you're acting like a 5 year old. Plus, don't you have your girlfriend to help you? Ah. What's her name?" I asked, snapping my fingers as I tried to think of the nerdy girl's name. Alex stared at me flatly. I laughed and shut my phone off. "I'll help. Give me the paper," I told him. I sat down in the plastic chair in the science classroom of Central City High School, and skimmed through it before going back to the first page. "Okay. Question 1..."

I shot up, gasping for breath. Someone sighed with relief. "Miss, you need a hospital," he told me. I stood up and started walking, holding my head. "Miss!" he shouted again. People watched as I started to run towards Jitters. They shouted for me to come back, but I ignored them. My phone rang and I stopped, glancing at the screen. It was Eddie.

"Hello?" I asked, panting.

"Hey, Kaylin. Are you...panting?" he asked. I nodded.

"Yeah. I'm...going for a run." Okay. That isn't exactly a lie. "What's up?"

"I need some help with a case. Can you make it down to Jitters?" he questioned. I grinned and pushed the door to it open.

"Look up, Eddie," I told him. I saw him look up from his table. I hung up and walked over to him.

"Hey." He pushed the file in front of me. "I've worked on this for days and haven't found out anything. Do you-"

"Jake Collins." He raised an eyebrow. I pulled up a picture of Jake from his Facebook page. "This is your guy. Evidence is in his house. Get a search warrant and look. You'll find something," I explained. Eddie stared at me in disbelief.

"Kaylin, how do you do this?" I shrugged. "Seriously? You solve everything so fast. You've solved cases in a matter of minutes that would take the best detectives in the world months, maybe even years." I lowered my head. "Why can't you just tell me?" Eddie asked softly. My hair covered up my face. For some reason I was ready to cry.

"I told you when I first met you. My life is on a need-to-know basis. I have to go," I muttered. He called out my name as I pushed my way out of Jitters. I found myself at S.T.A.R. Labs, staring at the building. Cisco Ramon was the only person who I could think of. I hopped the gate and walked towards the building.

As I walked down the halls of S.T.A.R. Labs, I glanced at each doorway, looking for Cisco. "She's a pretty girl, Cisco. I change my mind. I think it's gonna last a long time," I heard a female voice say.

"I agree with Caitlin. Kaylin Dark is a wonderful woman. She's smart, wants to go into law enforcement, and has an interest in science and technology. Maybe you two can work on a project together," I heard a familiar voice say. I stopped, fear coursing through my veins. That was Harrison Wells' voice. I shook my head and continued to the room. I heard Caitlin laugh.

"I can just see a baby redhead Cisco running around a house," she joked. I knocked on the door frame, making the three of them jump and turn around.

"Hey. Sorry to intrude. I just got kinda lost and found myself here. Then I remembered that Cisco works here," I explained. They all nodded.

"Ms. Dark, so glad to finally meet you," Dr. Wells said. He held out his hand for me to shake. I nodded.

"You, too, Dr. Wells. Sorry. I'm a...germaphobe." Afraid of you. He nodded and awkwardly pulled his hand back in his lap. Caitlin smiled. Cisco stared at me with confusion. He knows that I'm far from a germaphobe.
