The Real Neverland

Part 2: 24

 My eyes stare at her, in complete shock. I watch as her body changes in certain ways, her hair became slightly darker, her eyes glowing blue, her clothes changing into fur clothes and more native stuff. Her nails grew into claws, her ears pointed a bit. She looked down at me and growled, she is looking at me like I am an enemy, she bends her knees and puts her claws to the side and then... a wolf formed as fire surrounded her body.

"No.. she can't be", I whisper to myself, my shadow appears next to me making Maddie jump and growl.

"Pan you have to put her in the cave! She could turn and attack", my shadow says and I snap my neck to the shadow.

"No! I can't put her in with Dylan! She is just scared!" I yell back and the shadow grabs my arm along with Maddie's and flies so fast to the cave. Maddie growls and tries to scratch the shadow only to have her hand go right through him. The shadow drops me down with a thud and throws Maddie through the cave walls.

I stand up and run to the cave wall while banging on it, "Maddie! Can you hear me!" I yell, I only hear wimping in return.

"Why would you do that!" I scream at my shadow and he flies down to my level.

"She needs to stay in there, she can defend herself against Dylan. We can't have her running around Neverland-"

"Why? She isn't going to do anything she isn't like Dylan, she is born with this. She is a spirit girl, and I can't take that away from her it will kill her", I tell my shadow and it laughs in my face like I am a joke.

"What do you care? You want to live, you are dying Peter Pan. You said so yourself she was nothing to you", I frown at him and shake my head.

"No. she is more than that, if she dies, I will die. I have thought so many times why you came back, and it's because I was scared of making my own choices. I'm not scared anymore shadow, I don't need you, I am sick of this", I tell my shadow while stepping forward and it flies backwards.

"Pan stop-"

"No! I don't need you!" I yell and its hand starts disappearing.

"You don't know what you are doing-"

"I do! That's why you are fading away! I'm finally growing up, deal with it... as the people of Maddie's world say... Fuck off", I say and smirk he screams and finally fades away. I smile at my freedom. I did it. He is gone! My mind goes back to Maddie and I try to teleport into the cave but my eye sight got blurry.

"Maddie!" I yell, but the only thing I hear is Dylan's roar. "Maddie! Maddie! Run! I know it might hurt to use your magic so just run! The cave is longer than before, Maddie run!" I scream, (A/N: RUN FOREST RUN! SORRY I HAD TO, CONTINUE) I run my hand through my hair and my breathing becomes fast. I can't get her out. What am I supposed to do?

Maddie POV

"Maddie run!" was the last thing I properly heard, I looked down at myself and frowned and looked up at an angry dragon.

"Peter!" I yell, I hear banging on the cave wall but I knew it wasn't going to do anything, Dylan was blocking the way, so I could run at all.

"Dylan... it's me Maddie", I say calmly he roars back at me making me flinch back a bit. I close my eyes and lean down putting my hand out. I don't know what I am doing.

"Dylan... calm. Don't let this take over, you are stronger than this", I say with my eyes closed, I hear him growl and I raise my eyebrows, "Dylan... no" I say I feel warm breeze on my face, I knew he was close, I heard him huff, and I breathe out.
