chapter 17

Maddie POV

Here I am in the cage. Again. After Peter left, Felix came and took me to the cage and told me he promised it wouldn't be like this for long, and I hope he is right.

I was bored in the cage. Wendy was asleep, and I had nothing to do, then my cage came crashing down. Again.

I see Peter in front of it smirking; he opens the door and pulls me out. "Hello Maddie, today I thought we would play a game", he says and smirks.

"Oh yay", I say sarcastically.

"Now now here me out, love", he says, then open his arm out, singling for me to start walking. I do as I am told, and he walks by my side.

"Now, the game, it's like hide and seek you have to run and hide while the lost boys try find you and catch you, you must be sneaky and careful with the things you do my lost boys are very well trained and are very skilled tracking a girl wouldn't be a problem for them, but I will give you ten minutes start and I will give you a bow and arrows, but you cannot shoot my boys understood", he says, and I nod. He smirks, we were at the camp, and the lost boys were all together with their weapons, and I gulp.

I look up at Peter, and he is smirking at me, "Why am I doing this" I ask.

"Oh did I forget to tell you the prize, oh how forgetful of me, you see if the lost boys don't find you then you get to have a day not in the cage no challenges, no lessons nothing you can spend the day with the lost boys doing whatever but if you decide to go to the beach or whatever the lost boys must come", he says I smile wide he would give me a day off! To be part of the family.

"But", he says, and my smile drops at the 'but'.

"If the lost boys find you, you spend the day in a dark, cold small room where the old lost boys who went there went crazy from hearing voices in their head", Peter says, stepping closer looking into my eyes, trying to scare me.

Oh, and trust me, he succeeded. But he was also so close to me I looked deep into his eyes, he's so gorgeous.

"Um –I-uh-um-t-the b-b-bow", I stutter, making him smirk; he leans down to my ear sending chills.

"It's right here", he whispers, and he holds out his hand. Then a bow and arrow appear in his hand, and he puts the arrow bag over me and hands me the bow.

"Lost boys, when I give the signal, the game starts ok", Peter says; they nod, then Peter grabs my wrist and pulls me into the forest. Then he stops and turns to me and grins.

"Remember love", he says, and he steps close to me again and leans down to my neck.

"Remember to relax", he says, and his lips brush on my skin, making my legs weaken his hot breath on my skin; his lips brush on my skin again, and my eyes drop close. Then the hot breath was gone, and it felt colder. I open my eyes, and Peter is nowhere in sight.

I guess the games have begun.

I start running, but I was quiet; I see a tree, and I climb it being careful not to make any noise. Then I get to a high branch, I stood on it, and I see lost boys coming around.

Sneaky Maddie sneaky.

I quietly pull out an arrow and place it on my bow, getting it right. I pull it up and remember Peter's steps.

"Now, first you make sure the arrow is in place", I remember Peter whispers in my ear, sending chills all through my body.

I do as I remember

"Then you pull back the string", I remember him saying and with his mine hand, he guides my hand back.

I did as I remember again.

"Then you relax your shoulder but not too much", he whispers.

I try to relax but I couldn't then I remember...

"How am I going to relax with you breathing down my neck" I whisper. Then Peter's lips were on my neck, kissing down then just under my jaw, and I let out a small moan.

Thinking about his lips on my neck made me relax

"Then you aim...

I aim to the tree next to the lost boy.

And release", he whispered with pure lust in his voice...

I release, and it aims ideally at the tree, the lost boy quickly turns around, and I quietly jump to the other tree and grab two more arrows and promptly shoot them in different directions, quickly jumping from tree to tree, the lost boys were confused then I run off in the other direction smirking.

Peter Pan POV

I watch as Maddie climbs the tree, and I smirk, smart girl not going on land. The lost boys come and walk around, and then I see her pull an arrow out.

I smile at her. Come on, Maddie.

Make sure the arrow is in place.

She did as I thought. She remembered.

Then you pull back the string.

She did as I thought again. I smile wider.

Relax your shoulder but not too much.

Then she hesitated, no, no Maddie, come on. Relax, she closed her eyes, and I watched her as she tried relaxing, then she tilted her neck like someone was.. oh my god.

She opened her eyes and aimed and released then quickly jumped to the next tree and did the same thing then again and again.

Did Maddie think of me kissing her neck? I smirk at the thought

No, Peter, don't be ridiculous.

I watch her as she was very sneaky. She tricked the lost boys, and it was like this for hours. I smirk.

She won.

She was in the tree, ready to fire when I pop behind her while flying.

"Boo", I whisper, and she jumps a bit and turns around and sees me.

"Bloody hell, Peter, you scared me", she says, and I chuckle.

"Looks like you won, love", I say, and she smiles widely.

"Really", she says, and I nod. I grab her wrist, and we fly off back to camp. Then the lost boys came walking out with their heads down.

"My boys, I expected more from you", I say, and they sigh.

"Maddie, congratulations, you won; you can go in the tent behind that tree; there will be a meal for you and a bath for you to clean up", I say, and she nods and walks off.

"Is Peter getting a soft spot?" Felix says when the lost boys scatter.

"No, Felix, I'm not. I'm getting her hopes up, you see", I say, and he nods. But the truth is I did this for her; I cared.

Wait, what!

I care!

No way!

I sigh and shake my head, I seriously hope I'm not getting a soft spot.

Because then I would have a weakness and Peter Pan doesn't have a weakness that's why.

Peter Pan never fails.
