Jax's POV:

Ok, let's just say I do have a little crush on Kala, but what gives? I just got burned by her and my whole chest was literally on fire because I hugged her. And Terra is probably going to make fun of me again. But I'm sick of this. Kala thought it was kind of funny as I was running around screaming because my chest was on fire and I couldn't put it out for a while. So, I might tell Terra and possibly Kala..... Okay, I don't care, but I like her a lot! She's just so beautiful...... Terra screamed in my ear to snap me back to reality. "Where we going doofus!?" I told Kala and Terra we had a special mission to start. "Sorry, we have to go to Alaska, that's where the most destruction. While we're there, though, we have to teach Kala how to control her fire." I looked back at her. She laughed. "Also, we have to track down the Beast."
"What's the Beast? Sounds dangerous!" Exclaimed Kala. I explained it to her. "You know the Master? It's a bigger version that's all green and evil." Her eyes widened. "And we have to fight it?! That's impossible!" I nodded. "Well, we're gonna be the first ones to do it." I looked at the two girls and realized we should get one more boy. "I have to pick up my friend real fast, if that's ok with you guys- girls." The girls nodded. I started the car and drove to his house with them.

I knocked on the door to my friends families mansion. My friend opened the door. "What up homie?! It's been a century!" I put my hand on my forehead. I hate when he talks like that. "Haha, just kidding. Hows it going?" I looked up. "Great, just a monster that we need to destroy that's destroying the world. He widened his eyes. "We really have to do that? Well, I'm pretty ready!" Swirls of wind formed in his hands, but quickly disappeared as soon as he saw Kala. "Oops!"
"Don't worry, this is Kala, she's the fire element. She knows." I leaned in closer to him. "And don't mess things up, I'm gonna tell her soon." He laughed as he stared at her. "Totally. I understand."
"Hey, who's here?" Asked a voice from behind my friend. I instantly recognized it. "Hey John. I need you to come with us, I'll tell you in the car."
"Great!"

We were in the car. "Who's this guy?" Kala asked. I looked in the back and saw my friend playing with the wind in his hands. "Jason." As soon as I said that, he looked up. "Where are we going anyway?!" He asked.

"We have to go all the way to Alaska and fight the Beast before it destroys the world. We also need to teach Kala how to control her powers." I finished. They all stared at me. "Oh." Jason sighed. I turned back around and started driving. Since I couldn't get plane tickets and no one else could, I guessed it was going to be a long drive.

We all took turns driving the car, since we all kept falling asleep from 5 hours of boredom and nothing interesting out the window. "Do we have anymore snacks? I'm starving!" John complained. "You just ate 2 bags of chips John!" Kala exclaimed. Jason pulled out a pack from his backpack and handed it to John. "Last one!" Jason said. "You guys want to hear a story?" Asked Terra. Everyone moaned. We all new she was terrible at story telling, even Kala.

At last, we started to see snow falling. "Are we there yet?!" Terra asked. Finally, after whatever many hours of driving, we were finally here. "Yes!" I sighed. I parked the car by the road and got out to stretch. The cold air felt good as I breathed in the fresh air. I heard Kala complain about something. Oh no. I thought. She's fire, and this place is her weakness. We are probably going to have to work harder than I thought. "Kala, start a fire or something to keep you warm for now. I don't want anyone in the car. I feel like something is going to happen to it." Right as a said that, some other car spun on the road and smashed into our car, knocking both cars over the cliff. We all stared as they flew over. I looked over at Kala. Her eyes were wider than ever before. Then she stated to fall back.
Kala's POV:

I watched as both cars flew off the cliff. I didn't know why, but I felt like I had seen that before. Then, I realized what it was.

The dream. Was real.

All the memories of my childhood came to me in waves. At one point, I was in the car with MY FAMILY, and then I was in the hospital. That's why I had been in the hospital! Then I realized something else.

My mom right now isn't my real mom, my family is gone.

I felt myself falling. Someone caught me, and I woke up with everyone asking if I was okay. I jumped up. The words came tumbling out of my mouth. "Car crash, hospital, family, GONE!" Jax ran up to me and hugged me tightly. I instantly hugged him back. I was afraid. "I don't know if this is going to make it worse but........ I was in the car with you."

What Jax said made me stop crying. That's why I remembered him from somewhere. I pushed him away. "YOU DID THIS!" I yelled at Jax. "You're the one, who took me to that place! The one who showed me my stupid powers! The one who took us to ALASKA and now we have no car! What are we going to do now, huh?!" He looked at me, eyes wide. "I was just trying to help......" He started. Everyone else was looking at us. I just realized what I had said. "Jax, I'm sorry," I started this time. "I'm just so confused. I've never known I've had these powers before. I just realized that....." I stopped. Tears were starting to come again. "I'm sorry."

Jax's POV:

"It's okay Kala." I said. I know this is a hard time for her, so I understand why her emotions are mixed up. Also because she's a girl, but that's a whole other story. I heard Jason whisper to me, so I went over to him. "Hey, you might want to tell Kala now, so it will maybe lighten the mood a bit." He suggested. I thought it was a good idea, but what if it gets her mad? "Okay, I'll do it." I sighed.

I took a deep breath. Even though I've done this with girls before, I was still really nervous. I walked over to Kala and sat down where she had made a fire. Even though it felt terrible, I didn't want Kala to get cold. She didn't say anything as I sat down, she was staring at the flames. "Kala, I have to tell you something." She looked up. Her eyes were filled with sadness and fear. "Is it bad?" She asked. "It depends on how you feel." I told her. She paid more attention. "I don't care how long  I've known you, but..... Uh, I..." I didn't know how to finish, but I think Kala got the memo. Her eyes widened once again, but she didn't say anything. "I know, I'm sorry if it ruined everything once more but-" she stopped me. She jumped up and embraced me in a hug. "I-I like you too- a lot."
