"Everyone says that love hurts, but that's not true. Lonliness hurts. Rejection hurts. Losing someone hurts. Everyone confuses these things with love but in reality, love is the only thing in this world that covers up all the pain and makes us feel wonderful again."

(Louis' POV)

"Harry?" I whispered, taking a reluctant step closer.

Samuel charged ahead of me at the man who stitched up Harry. "What the hell? What did you do?"

The man said something back, but I didn't hear, all I could hear was the beating of my heart. My heart was pounding and I couldn't help but think that Harry's heart might not be.

My heart pounding filled my ears completely. The rings around my vision began to get blurry and red. Something was wrong with me.

Harry. Harry. Harry. Harryharryharry.

"Harry?" I asked again, this time walking over to the hospital bed.

Samuel and the man were still arguing, but I still didn't bring my attention to them.

I reached the bed and immediately placed two fingers on Harry's neck, searching, hoping, praying. When I didn't feel the pulse soon, I began to frantically roam my fingers around his neck, avoiding his stitches, and looking for a pulse.

"Harry, please. I almost lost Niall, I can't lose you, too. Please. Please, Harry." A few tears escaped my eyes and flooded down, landing on Harry's face and I didn't bother to push them away.

Samuel was next to me in an instant. He pushed my frantic hands away and put his own two fingers against Harry's neck. "There's a pulse. Quick, let's get him to the car."

Samuell grabbed Harry by the shoulders and pulled him off of the bed, and I grabbed his feet, hoisting them up to carry Harry out to Samuel's car.

An embarrassing sob escaped from my lips. Harry looked so...dead. So pale. It made my stomach queasy.

We reached Samuel's truck and Samuel opened up the passenger door and practically threw Harry in, and I went crawling in after him. I immediately gathered Harry's unconcious form and cradled him to my chest, trying not to cry anymore.

Samuel hopped in the driver seat a few seconds later. "The guy said he just passed out from the pain. He'll be fine."

Everything hit me at once. This was weird, this wasn't considered normal. I was talking to Samuel like he was a normal person, and he wasn't. He kidnapped Harry, he raped Harry, he beat Harry.

"Fuck, fuck, fuck. This isn't normal. Take me home, please. Take him home, take us home! What do you want from us? We don't have anything. Please, please he needs a real doctor." I started blubbering and pleading, and for the first time since I had gotten in the car with Samuel, I was scared. Not only for myself, but also Harry. I was scared of Samuel and what he could do.

Samuel ignored me and turned on the heater as the rain started to pour outside.

Harry stirred slightly and I pulled him closer to my chest and stroked his hair.

Fuck you, Louis.

"They're coming back, they're coming back." I sobbed into Harry's hair.

"Who is coming back?" Samuel demanded.

"The voices. Oh God, please take us home."

Samuel said something else, but I didn't bother to listen. I continued to pat at Harry, praying that he would wake up. The dark clouds in my head were slowly rolling back in and I wasn't prepared. Everything was taking a toll all at once.
