"And I'd give up forever to touch you

'Cause I know that you feel me somehow

You're the closest to heaven I'll ever be

And I don't want to go home right now." -Iris by Goo Good Dolls

"Please go on a date with me?"

"Nope."

Harry was walking briskly with his new friend, Zayn. Louis was trailing a little behind them, still asking to take Harry on a date.

Harry was smiling as he declined Louis. He liked Louis, he really did, but Zayn and few others already warned him about Louis' useful ways. Harry liked that Louis was persistant, but he wasn't planning on ever accepting the offer.

"C'mon, just one date?" Louis asked, trying to wedge himself between Harry and Zayn.

Harry sighed and said to Zayn, "I'll catch up with you later, okay?"

Zayn nodded and took off down the hall.

Harry grabbed Louis' elbow and pulled him into the desertated handicap bathroom, locking the door behind them.

"Cheeky." Louis commented with a huge smile plastered onto his face.

Harry rolled his eyes. "What will it take for you to stop asking me out on a date?"

"For you to go with me on a date." Louis didn't hesitate in his answer.

Harry wanted to joke with Louis, but he knew he had to be honest with him. "Louis, I'd honestly love to go out on a date with you, but I can't."

Louis' face fell. "Why not?"

"I don't want to be one of those new kids who just shows up to a new school and hears all these rumors and just believes them all."

"Okay."

"But...people say a lot of stuff about you, Louis."

"What do they say?" Louis averted his eyes down to hands.

Harry stepped a little closer to Louis. "That you sleep around. I see the way those girls hang off of you. You really can't expect me to go on a date with, even while you flirt with all these girls."

Louis was at a loss for words. Louis had made an effort to kick it down a notch since he met Harry. "I...Couldn't you just maybe try?"

"Try what?"

"I don't know. Try to go out on a date with me."

Harry smiled sadly. "I'm sorry. There are two kinds of teenagers. Teenagers who think of sex and dating as nothing, just a game. Then there's the teenagers who think of sex as something intimate...it should be done with someone they love. I'm the second kind of person, Louis. What does that make you?"

Louis wanted to be mad at Harry, but Harry was saying it with such a gentle tone, like it was for Louis' own good. Louis knew it was true, too. But he wanted to be different with Harry.

"Can you just give me a chance? If it's the worst date ever, then you can punch me in the face and never talk to me again." Louis said.

Harry laughed. "What if it's a tolerable date? Can I still punch you?"
