He came from Mary,
The Virgin,
and The hope.
She crossed over deserts,
Did she give up? Nope.
She went with Joseph,
Her love and life,
He wanted to marry her,
Make her his wife.
Jesus was born in a cave, not a barn,
And around him the animals,
Brought him no harm.
Jesus was sent to save us from sin,
Wash away tears,
Help us to win.
He died on the cross,
Because ignorance paid off,
And when he spoke his last words,
Roman soldiers would scoff.
When people question Jesus,
Like why did they die?
Why did my sister lose her right eye?
Why was I born differently?
Why am I dying?
Why is my mother constantly crying?
Why was I born unable to see?
Jesus, do you truly love me?
And he comforted them,
With his arms spread out wide,
Though, he could not touch.
And as he sat on the cross,
He exclaimed, "This much!"
