The winning goal was up to me,
but I was so nervous,
it was hard to see.
I dodged my opponents with no effort,
none at all,
but that's when I was tripped,
ready to fall.
Another girl fell and hit me in the head.
"It's a free shot, a free shot!"
the referee said.
"Here's the ball, honey, go right on ahead."
I waited for the whistle and unleashed my power,
and for a second I saw the goalie cower.
She missed it,
she missed it!
It zoomed past her in a flash,
I was so tired,
I was ready to crash.
My whole team froze in shock and I did the same,
as the ref blew the whistle,
ending the game.
OMG we did it!
Don't you see?
We just beat the very best team!
