TO THE MOON AND BACK

I remember when I was younger,

A conversation we would have,

Every night without fail,

We would sit by the window,

And look at the stars and moon,

Sparkling in the midnight sky,

You’d point to the moon,

Then open your arms,

Up real wide,

Then you’d say,

“I love you this big,

I love you to the moon and back.”

Then I’d say,

“I love you more,”

And you’d reply with,

“No way that’s impossible.”

So I’d test you just to make sure,

“Would you love me if I ran far away?”

“I would be really sad but I would still love you.”

“Would you love me even if I said I didn’t love you?”

“It would hurt my feelings but I’d still love you.”

“Why?”

“Because you’re my daughter and I love you to the moon and back.”

“I love you more mommy.”

“Impossible.”

I WROTE THIS ONE SO WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK
