Alässe stroked the neck of her dragon

Whose sapphire scales glistened in the suns

Dying light. The beast was named Simbelmÿne

After the wild flowers which grew all

Over the land of Anora. With a yawn,

The female rider headed towards the bed;

She needed her sleep in order to defeat

The malicious King Zanderguild. Her flowing

Golden hair, a rarity among these parts, lay

In a tangle about her face. "Goodnight my faithful

Daring dragon. Tomorrow is our day to

Prove ourselves worthy of honor and praise.

After we slay that merciless master of malice,

We will be sung in ballads and told is stories

Throughout the land." Alässe closed her eyes. In her

Dream, she saw Simbelmÿne fly across the sky.

At the crack of dawn, the rider was off

To dual the King as promised.

The plain came into view and so did King

Zanderguild. He stood around seven feet

Tall with muscular arms and body. His eyes

Were almost black that could send a chill down your spine.

Simbelmÿne landed with a loud thud.

Unsheathing her sword, Alässe dismounted

Her dragon. "Are you ready to die?" asked

The King, an evil grin on his lips. "I was

About to say the same for you." A cold laugh

Escaped him, followed by a swift swinging sword

Coming towards her head. The cunning lady of

The dragon blocked the blow like nothing.

After another aerial block of the swords,

Simbelmÿne puked fire only to be stopped by magic.

"Why don't you just give up; I am far too

Powerful for you to handle." Another instant

Incantation shot from the King. Alässe had

To jump to miss it, barely. "Your power is as

Strong as it is weak!" Her words made the King

Chuckle in amusement. He raised his sword once

More ignoring her words. Rolling her eyes, Alässe

Blocked the blow as she had done before.

Suddenly, she started to sing a lovely

Lullaby. The song slowly began to make the

King close his eyes to sleep against his will.

Alässe cut off the mans head, climbed up

Onto her steed, and left for home, savoring

Her enormous victory.

The towns folk cheered in the streets as the victorious

Rider flew past on her fierce beast. Alässe

Had rid them of their ruthless king, so they

Anointed her with that precious position

Of leadership. As Queen, Alässe made

Anora the best place to live. Her dragon

Became the symbol of the land representing

Both power and wisdom. Monks recorded her

Feats in books to be told over and over

Again in centuries to come.
