------- Alexis' POV------
Ugh, another boring Monday. I hate school and I'm pretty sure everyone there hates me as I'm 'different'. I decided that I wouldn't skip school today as my grades are the only thing that keep me from being expelled and so far I've been getting a D in most subjects.
I looked at my alarm clock and saw that it was 7:30 a.m so I got out of bed, changed into a Green Day American Idiot top, dark blue jeans and a thin black hoodie. By the time I put on my make-up and put in my contacts it was already 7:50. I grabbed my iPod, headphones and bag before leaving the house and walking over to the bus-stop. No I don't eat breakfast and No I don't say bye to my family. Why? Because I don't eat in the mornings and my family want nothing to do with me, so I keep out of their way or at least I do for most of the time.
I got on the bus, sat in an empty seat and started listening to Jesus Of Suburbia in my headphones. The ride to school was pretty boring but when we soon arrived at my stop and I got off the bus and walked into the school. My first lesson was English, which was one of my favourite subjects along with art and sport. I walked in the room before the bell rang and went to sit at the back of the class in my usual seat.
Oh yeah, I never said what I was like; I have long, straight, jet black hair that is dip dyed blue and I have a skull tattoo on the back of my left shoulder, my friend's name tattooed across my stomach and a snake going up from my lower back and all around my neck. I normally wear purple contacts and part of my hair covers the whole of my right eye (a side fringe). I get called emo or goth a lot but I've learned to live with it; not my problem if I don't fit your standards.
English went by quickly and there was almost no talking as everyone was busy writing a short story on the school laptops. It's supposed to be about anything you want as long as you make it work and that it is appropriate. After the bell rang I walked out the classroom and went to my locker without being bothered by anyone, it might seem sad to some people to not talk to your classmates but I actually like being alone or with my friends from outside of school.
"Not going to skip?" I heard a boy say from behind me. I shut my locker and turned around to see a tall guy with dirty blond hair and deep light blue eyes standing in front of me.
"Who are you?" I asked in my usual bored tone.
"I'm Drake, I'm in the same classes as you and I have a locker right next to yours" he replied as he leaned against the lockers with a smirk. Okay? So why are you suddenly talking to me? Are you blind or some shit?
"Oh.. I'm Alexis.. Just wondering, um, why did you talk to me? Aren't you afraid I'd beat you up just like everyone else is?"
"Ha-ha, no.. I talked to you 'cause I think your pretty cool and it's slightly sad to see you all alone," he answered and smiled at me.
"I really don't care about being alone here." I replied.
"Really? You never get lonely?"
"I have friends outside this shit hole," I replied and looked around to see two girls watching us. "Looks like you got some stalkers."
"Where?" He turned around to see the two girls running away. "Wow.."
"They friends of yours?" I asked as he turned back to face me.
"Actually, I don't know who they are," he replied. "Do you want to go to our next lesson or did you have other plans?"
"Hmm.." I thought about this as he laughed. "Seems like too nice of a day to be cooped up in here, I'm gonna ditch," and with that I put my sketch book back in my locker and took out my phone and keys. House keys of course, I don't have enough money for a car.
"Damn, I really thought you would stay the whole day... Do you mind if I come with you?" he asked me.
"Are you sure you want to? You're going to have to deal with some of my friends and you're going to have to skip the whole school day." I said. I really didn't want him to come with me and no I wasn't trying to be mean, but I preferred to be alone or with the gang (my friends from another place).
"What do you think I am? A weak goody-goody?" He smirked and put his books back in his locker.
"Suit yourself. lets go," I replied as I walked out the fire escape.
"Where the hell are you going? School gates are the other way." He shouted as he ran after me.
"You're new to this aren't you?" I turned round to face him.
"How did you know?" He looked somewhat surprised.
"'Cause you can't go out through the front gates. You have to be un-seen and you don't look like the type of guy that ditches." I replied before pulling myself up onto a brick wall. He just stared at me. "Need help?"
"Hell no!" He jumped up and then down on the other side. I laughed at his response before jumping down as well.
