-----Alexis' POV-----

I never knew life could be so dramatic when you live normally! I'm serious here, this is the first time I have a normal, regular life and it is so hectic! There's boy trouble, weirdos, parties and it's just - wow. I've got boy trouble being in the same class as the three douches that thankfully don't recognise me, there's Xander who I think knows Derek, Taylor's crush on Nina's ex and then of course there's everyone being awesome. Especially Xander, I mean come on! He was practically sleeping through a mad diva brawl! But, I miss Derek. Again. Every time I try and think positive I always think of how much I miss my old life. But this is better for my education and I need to start getting my life together. I can't just be on a wild run from the police and fighting gangs with the guys, I can't be ditching school and doing pranks all the time, I can't have any real fun.

"Hey Astrid, are you alright?" Otilia asked me. After Andy ran off after Nina, Xander ran off after Taylor and River went to confront the ex, Otilia, Rick and I went to our home where we are now hanging out in her room. I looked up to see both her and Rick looking at me and I realised that I had yet to answer her.

"Oh, yeah, I'm fine," I smiled but they both just looked at each other and back at me. Rick put down his book and scooted over to us.

"You don't have to lie to us, Astrid." Oh how I wish that was true.

"Is it about me?" My head snapped up to look at the door where Derek leaned against the door.

"DEREK!" I don't care if this means I'm not being shy! I yelled out his name and ran into his arms

"Whoa, calm down A. I take it you've missed me?" I nodded, not finding the words to answer his question. I'm sorry if this is cheesy but I seriously can't go a day without this man. Well, technically I can but it's so hard!

"Who are you?" Rick asked him, confused. Oh yeah, Rick hasn't met Derek yet.

"That -" Otilia pointed at the bad boy who had his arms around me -"is her boyfriend!" If I was drinking something I'd be spitting it out all over the floor. Even though it's kind of true, I'm an awkward, innocent, single girl in this life.

"Ew no," I shrieked and pushed him away from me but he just chuckled probably noticing that all I wanted to do right now was hold him close to me.

"Pfft, any girl would be lucky to date me," he smirked. Great, his cocky side is back.

"I liked you when you weren't cocky," I said fake glaring at him but he just rolled his eyes.

"I do not care. Aren't you gonna introduce me?" I sighed and nodded.

"You already know Otilia and that guy is Rick, why are you here?" I asked, wanting to know the reason behind his surprise visit.

"Yeah dude, you just pop up out of nowhere, it's kinda weird," Otilia added. Rick was deep in his book, I don't think he was really paying attention. Must've been a good read I guess.

"I don't need a reason to visit my-" His phone rang cutting him off mid sentence. "Sorry." He got his phone out but I grabbed it off him and answered it myself. HA! Nerdy weirdo:1 Weirdo bad boy:0.

"HELLO!" I squealed in a really high pitch voice.  "You've reached Derek, how may I assist you tonight, babe." I heard Otilia giggle whilst Derek just held his head in his hands muttering something along the lines of I'm dead.

"Who the fuck are you?!" Oh god, it's Jed. Wait, he honestly doesn't recognise my voice? Damn, am I a good voice actor or what?

"Do not use that vulgar language with me, young man," this time, I used a dark deep man voice and Otilia burst out laughing. Rick was eyeing me carefully over the rim of his book but I could tell he was holding a laugh.

"Jed, now get me on the phone with the stupid dip shit," he growled and I giggled.

"I am sorry, I do not know of 'the stupid dip shit', please stay on hold," I ran over to Rick and signalled him to sing and his eyes widened.

"Uh.. WHO LIVES IN A PINEAPPLE UNDER THE SEA? SPONGE BOB SQUARE PANTS. ABSORBANT AND YELLOW POROUS IS HE, SPONGE BOB SQUARE PANTS, IF NAUTICAL NONSENSE BE SOMETHING YOU WISH -" he started to sing the sponge bob theme song whilst we all laughed. Oh my god, this is gold!

"SHUT THE FUCK UP YOU LITTLE TWAT! GIVE THE PHONE TO DEREK BEFORE I TRACK YOU DIP SHITS DOWN!" That just made me laugh so much harder! Stalker alert!

"Some guy named Jed wants you, he sounds really happy," I chirped and handed the phone back to Derek but he just glared at me and left to talk in private. "Well someone's in a mood."

"He didn't let me finish my sponge bob song," Rick pouted causing us all to laugh.

"Aw honey," Otilia chided. "Back to our previous talk, do you like Derek?" No, I love him.

"Yeah, he's a great friend," I said, playing the innocent act.

"She means do you have  crush on him, idiot."

"N-No! We're just friends!" I felt my cheeks heat up, was I blushing? I didn't mean to blush but hey, it fits the act.

"Mhmm, sure. We believe you." Otilia said, rolling her eyes at me. It wouldn't really do any harm if I said I had a crush on him, would it? I mean, if I say that then later on we might not have to be a secret couple. This could work.

"Fine, I have a crush on him, but you can't tell anyone!" Otilia grinned at me but Rick only smirked.

"I think you need to buy our silence," he said menacingly but I just glared. Hell no is that gonna happen. I'm not gonna do anything for anyone!

"Please? I thought River was the mean one," I said quietly, trying to guilt him into it.

"Ugh, fine, I won't tell." Success! another point for me!

"Yay, thank you!"

"So, is he single?" Otilia asked. No, he isn't. We are dating.

"Yeah, I guess so. His girlfriend died a few weeks before I moved in here," I spoke sadly. I'm not gonna be the bitch who is happy he is single, that will not go well with my innocent good girl act. And besides, I can't really be jealous of myself so much that I'd be happy for me to die so that I can go out with my boyfriend. See? It makes no sense.

"Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. Were you two friends?" Rick asked but I only nodded.

"But he seems so happy and carefree, you'd think he had no problems in the world." Otilia said, more to herself than us.

"If this is Derek you three are talking about then he has more problems than you could ever imagine." I looked over to the door once again but this time it was Xander and a calmed down Taylor.

"Hey guys, I'm so sorry about what happened at the fair," she said. She looked like she had been crying for ages, her eyes were red and glazed, her hair was all messy and she looked so out of it.

"It's fine Taylor," I reassured her. She smiled slightly and sat down next to us while Xander just lay on the ground.

"Hey Astrid, how close are you with Derek?" He asked me suddenly. Did he know about who I really was? How much did he know about Derek and why the hell does he look so familiar?

"Very, he took care of me when no one else would and he stayed with me at the adoption centre."

"Do you guys know each other?" I asked.

"No, we met you guys at the centre and that was it."

"Hey, Astrid, I just got off the phone with Jed and I have to go now. I'm sorry, I'll call you as soon as I can." Derek said as he passed the door. I nodded and he left. I guess he has some gang business to take care of. I  wonder what happened with Cray and Taylor. Oh my god, I just realised something! There's two Taylors! I guess I should call bitchy Taylor, Taylor K, seeing as that's what her last initial is.
