Oliver held tightly to his phone as he called for what felt like the thousandth time in the last three days. Clara didn't even bother pretending to ignore his messages and they were starting to go to voice mail after the first ring.
"Are you still trying to get a hold of her?"
Oliver looked up to see Jennifer leaning lazily against the door frame. Without responding he turned his back to her dialing Clara's number again.
"Is it really worth it?" He felt her hands trail over his shoulders and he stiffened.
"Jennifer."
"Oliver."
"I'm serious."
"So am I," he felt her lips touch the back of his neck lightly and he had to resist the urge to melt into her touch.
Without saying anything Oliver stood up from his desk chair, moving out of her reach and began to pack his bag. Shoving his laptop, a jacket, and several books into it he marched out the door. Stopping only to pick up the book Clara had dropped.
