Chapter 13

Kayla's POV
"Kayla Davis" the admin lady called as i looked at her "Dr ogle is ready for you"
"Okay thanks" i say as i follow Dr Ogle in a room that baby blue covered the walls
"I'll get you to sit here, and pull your shirt to the middle of chest" she walks over to a cabinet and pulled out a tube of blue gel. I remember when i was little and alway got my needles done by her and every time she gave me a lollypop. I smile at the memory.
"So kayla how have you been" she rurns and looks at me
" yea, I've been good" i smile
"How far along are we" she ask
" nearly 4 months" i smile rubbing my belly
" and who do we have here" she guestures towards Jasmine
"This is Jasmine, my best friend"
"May i ask wheres daddy" she asks kindly "I've seen you two on the news and magazines"
"ah-yea he couldn't make it " she look like she could sense it was a touchy subject so she keft it alone.
"Oh okay; shall we get started" she changed the subject noddibg towards my belly
"Yea"
"This might be a little cold" she says as she put the cool gel on my baby bump giving me the shivers
i look over at jasmine and i see her with a huge smile wiped across her face. And i can tell that she is going to be an amazing Aunty.
"There's your baby" say Dr Ogle
I hear the heart beat as i turn my head and fall on love with my baby all over again.
Dr Ogle pointed out the parts of the baby
"Would you like to know the sex?" she asked
"Yea i would" she moved the hand held thing and moved it around my belly
" You're going to have little girl" she smiled
I started to get teary "I'm going to have a daughter" i cried tears of joy roll down my cheeks
"Would you like a copy of these" asked Dr Ogle
"Yes please"
" I'll print this off and meet you at the front desk"
Jasmine came over and gave me a hug that grin never leaving her face
"I'm going to have a niece" she smiles even bigger.
I wipe the gel of my tummy and pull my short down

At the front desk i payed for the scans and filled out the nessacary paper work; and headed to the car.
Now shopping, today was going great.
We headed towards the mall and parked the car. First we went to K-mart the best shop there is, and aslo becauae Jasmine insisted that we go to get baby stuff. One hour and forty-five minutes later we came out with loads of stuff variety of baby clothes our clothe baby nessacarities. We had so much stuff that we had to put the stuff in the car cause we couldn't carry it around. And go back into the mall to buy more stuff,we found some nice dresses to wear for dinner tonight than we headed towards IGA and when grocery shoppong. then my legs and feet started to get really sore so we headed home to go have a nap. It was around five o'clock when I woke up to noise down stairs mom must be home early, Jasmine was still asleep beside me so i decided to wake her up cause she won't sleep tonight. She groan and rolls on her back before opening her eyes. I walk down stair to see mom cooking.
"Hey mom" i says walking over and giving her a hug
"Hello seewty, your brother should be here at 6:30; so you and Jasmine should start to get ready" she says as she turns around to check on what shes cooking
"Okay I'm going to taking a shower" i say going into the bathroom. I turned the water on and soon the room is filled with steam covering the mirror; i get undress and put my hand under the water checking the temperature, feeling how i just want it i step into the shower i feel the hot water loosening my my muscles as i turn around and was my hair once my hair is wash i shave my arm and my legs since they were prickly. When I'm done i turn the water off and grab my towel from the hook dry myself and wrap it around my torso. I grab another for my hair twisting the material around my hair.
I walk onto my bedroom to see Jasmine is laying on my bed on her phone.
"Showers free, you should get ready cause my brother will be here at 6:30
"Okay" she hops up and walks into the bathroom
I walk over to my mirror and took off the towel on head and plugged in my hair dryer and started drying my hair. After i dried my hair i started to do a braid on the side toward the back and connecting it to a messy bun, i started on my make-up not packing it on just a light and natural look. Once I've finished my make-up, Jasmine walks out of the bathroom with her make-up and hair done with it being down in natural curls with a bit from the front tyed to the back with a little apricot coloured flower and a towel wrapped around her. We both go to grab the dresses and went to change in then. Jasmines dress was an orangy-apricot kind of colour with only one shoulder strap and mine being a white creamy colour with two thin staps and a jewl thing at the top of my torso and verticle crinkles on my chest. Few minutes of looking in my full length mirror, Jasmine walks out of the bathroom look stunning as always
"You look so beautiful " i say with a gleeful smile on my face.
"Oh my gosh so do you, i love these family things" she says jumping up and down. After Jasmines little fit we walk down stairs and to go see how mom is doing on dinner. We walk in with moms back towards and when she must of heard us she turned around and loomed at us she gasps and puts he hand towards her mouth
"You girls look gorgeous" she came in to give us a group hug and kisses our cheeks
" wheres dad" i ask i haven't seen him today
"He's up stairs getting ready, you're brother should be here shortly"
Just as she says that there was a nock at the door
"He's here" i say walking to the door
I grab the cool metal door handle and open to see the familiar face of my brother Luke his brown eyes meeting mine. He pulled me into a bone crushing hug
"I've missed you" he says squeezing hard
"I've missed you too, how have you been; you're so tall" i say puting my hand on his shoulders looking at him
"Come inside" said mom come from behind me
"Hey mom, dad, jasmine" hey said as he gave each of them a hug. Jasmine is like a little sister to him so he looks out for her just like he does for me.
"Dinners ready, come grab a plate and sit down"
We all walk into the kitchen and I grab a plate with lasagna, salad and grabbed a glass of juice and sat down across from both Luke and Jasmine with mom and dad at the ends of the table. We have small conversation around the table but all i an think about is how im going to explain to my older and very protective brother that im pregnant.
"Luke, your sister has important news to tell you" mom say knocking me out of my thoughts
I turn my gaze over to my brother and he is looking at me telling me to telm him my 'important news'

"Umm- yea" i start to push my fork around my salad "I'm pregnant" i say look up to see his facial expressions were saying and he looked totally shocked
"Really?" He ask disbelief spilt out of his words
"Uh-yea" i say still looking at him
"Comgratulations" he smiled as he got up and gave me another famous bone crushing hug
"That means I'm going to being an uncle" he yell excitedly
"Yep and today when i went to the doctor we found out the sex" i smile gleefully
"Am i going to have a niece or a nephew" luke smile
"A niece"
"Thats great honey, now you can start buy stuff"
"Yea we went shopping today and bought a whole heap of stuff" finishes jasmine
"Yea its exciting" i say getting up from my seat putting my plate in the dishwasher everyone else put there dirty dishes in the dishwasher aswell and there was a nock on the door
"I'll get that" said Jasmine
After i am finishing what im doing i go and see who is at the door. And as i saw who was at the door my heart stopped what is he doing here.
As his eyes met mine and dropped to my growing stomach
"Kayla baby" he says sadly
"What are you doing here louis"
