Chapter 14: Happy Anniversary!

After the last few days, John's very glad to have a day off. He woke up next to his beautiful girlfriend. She gave him a great birthday present by bringing his family from Boston. Today was their anniversary, it's been a year since they started dating, she's the best thing that has happened to him in so long. John kissed her forehead, she looked beautiful when she was sleeping. John had plans for them today, it was a surprise for her. He started making breakfast to give her in bed. They were in California and Amy has never been here here before, John wanted her stay here to be memorable.

John brought her breakfast, "Good morning princess." 

"Good morning handsome," she said with a beautiful smile, "Happy one year anniversary." She got comfortable in their bed, "I can't believe it's been a year already, it seems like just yesterday we met for the first time."

"I have a surprise for you babe, we have to get ready after we eat," John said.

"What do you have planned?" she asked.

"I'm not telling you anything, it's all a surprise, just wear a bathing suit, you'll need it," he responded as they were finishing their breakfast.

"That was delicious, can I kiss the cook?" she asked.

"Of course you can," John answered.

They shared a passionate kiss, when she kissed him the way she did is when he sees how much she loves him.

She changed into her bathing suit, it was turquoise her favorite color, it showed off her curves and it made her look sexier than she was.

John just stared at her, "Earth to John!" she said.

"Huh? What happened?" he asked.

"You froze silly, I don't know why," she responded.

"Sorry, I was just mesmerized by how sexy you look in that bathing suit," he said.

"Thank you, I was hoping you liked it," she said grinning.

"I don't like it, I love it," John said.

First, we went to jet skiing. It was a lot of fun, Amy had never done it before, John taught her how to do it. He loved spending time with her like this, every moment was precious. They stayed at the beach for hours just relaxing and having fun. John and Amy walked by the sand, John carried her bridal style as she kissed him.

Then, he took her to SeaWorld to swim with the sharks and dolphins, he knew it was something that she had been wanting to do for a while. She was scared but she held on to him, he felt like her superhero. They were both swimming and touching the fish and dolphins. His Amy looked adorable and there was no way to describe it all.

It was night time and he told her he had a surprise. He had a turquoise dress for her to wear to dinner with him. They were having dinner in a boat with music and candles. John blindfolded her and took her to the boat, "Babe, I'll lead you, now sit down." 

He removed the blindfold off of her eyes. "Wow John, this is beautiful," she was mesmerized by the location.

"We are having dinner in this boat, steak, strawberries with chocolate for dessert and pina colada because I know it's your favorite," he said showing her around.

She was mesmerized and surprised by everything, "It's the first time that someone does something this special for me."

He held her hand, "I wanted to make tonight special."

"You already have," she said.

They had dinner and even fed each other steak. After their dinner, they fed each other strawberries with chocolate. "Wait babe, you have some chocolate on your nose," he told her, they both laughed.

John took it off of her nose and kissed her. She held him by his neck to make the kiss deeper, their foreheads were pressed against each other and just smiled at each other, he love seeing her eyes sparkling.

"John, I wrote a song about you the other day, I wanted to sing you a little bit, and tell me what you think," she said.

"I want to hear it," he said.

"I could lose my heart tonight if you don't turn and walk away, 'cause the way I feel I might lose control and let you stay, 'cause I could take you in my arms and never let go, I could fall in love with you," she sang. (I Could Fall In Love by Selena)

"Wow, that was beautiful, are you planning on recording that?" he asked.

"I will add it to my new album just for you," she answered.

John brought pina colada because he knew it was her favorite drink, "Let's toast for us, for our future, and to making our dreams come true."

"Te Amo (I Love You)," he said.

She smiled, "Te amo mucho mi principe (I love you so much my prince)," she said. "How did you learn Spanish?" she asked.

"I decided to learn some to communicate better with your family," he answered.

"That's so sweet and thoughtful," she said hugging him.

They spent the night at the boat, cuddling, kissing and talking. John loved spending time with her alone, making her feel special and enjoying each other's company. He wanted her to feel like a princess on their anniversary. John and Amy have been through so much, it was nice  for them to have a day off together.
