Chapter 22: Shouldn't Come Back

Amy heard a knock on the door. She opened the door to find Wade, "Hey baby."

"Hey, do you need anything?" she asked.

"No, babe, I just noticed you were sad when I saw you, is everything okay?" he asked.

"I'm fine, thanks for checking up on me, but how did you know?" she asked.

"Babe, I dated you for a while, I think I would know how you are by now," he said grinning.

She sat down on her bed, tears started steaming down her face. She closed her eyes and just there she felt a hand wiping away her tears, it reminded her of the last time she saw John. She opened her eyes only to see Wade just starting at her.

He kissed her, "Sorry I just missed those lips, they were tempting me."

"Wade that was sweet of you to try and comfort me but I still have feelings for John," she said as she held his hand with her.

"I know babe, I'm sorry," he said.

She hugged him, "Thank you though for trying to make me feel better."

"It's no problem, if you need anything let me know, I'll always be here," he said.

"Sure," she answered.

"Goodnight," they said in unison.

She missed him terribly, John and Amy had been together for more than a year now. Amy so used to being around him. His sense of humor, his scent, his gestures, his blue eyes. He's been a part of her life all this time that now she missed everything about him. She looked through the pictures on her cellphone, she missed those moments they shared together. She wanted to know how he was doing but she was afraid that he had forgotten about her already and moved on.

John's match was over, he went to the locker room and she was gone. He packed everything and went to the RV, hoping to see her there. John saw Charles and he has a look of concern on his face, he glanced around and she wasn't there. Charles looked at him,"She left this for you John." 

"What's this?" he asked.

"I don't know, she just told me to give it to you and I'm doing so," he answered.

He started reading the letter.

"Dear John,

Thanks for loving me the way you did. I've never felt this loved in my life. I'll leave you alone for you to find yourself, at least know that I'll always be there for you when you need me. I won't get involved in your professional life either, I'll remove myself from your story lines and you won't even remember me. I hope you find someone that makes you as happy as you made me. I took everything as I want you to move forward without any interruptions. But one thing I want to make clear, your mom and I are still friends and I'll talk to her everyday even though we're not together.

"Where is she?" he asked.

"She left John, she packed everything and left, she didn't say where," he answered.

John sat there with tears starting up, why did he break up with her? She's the best that's ever happened to him in a long time and he let her go that easily like she was nothing and she meant the world to him.

John called his mom," Mom, have you talked to her?" he asked without even greeting her.

"John, my conversations with Amy are private but I'll let you know this, she feels like she has lost herself, she's lonely and she misses you a lot," she answered.
