Chapter 4: Aftermath

John just thought about what Wade had done to Amy and he couldn't help but wonder how a guy could do that to a woman. No woman should be treated the way she was. He looked at her angelic face and he found himself daydreaming about her, about having a woman like her in his life. Amy was special to him in so many ways, he couldn't believe he was stupid to let her go that easily. Instead of telling her how he felt, she fell for the guy who told her that he liked her. He felt like he was such a fool for not telling her that he liked her since the moment he saw her. He won't let Wade get away with this that's for sure.

Wade woke up in his hotel room and he noticed his girlfriend was not there. He tried to remember what happened the night before but he had no memory of it. He gave her a call, her phone rang and John answered it. 

"Wade, I told you last night to give her some time, she can't recove from what you did do her last night," John fired.

"What did I do to her? I don't remember," Wade said.

"You shoved her and you put your hands on her. How can you live with yourself when you put your hands on a beautiful woman," John explained.

Wade's tone began to change, he was disappointed on how he had done to her, "I don't know how I can live with myself after I've hurt the love of my life, she's so special to me."

"Well, you should have thought about that before you treated her the way you did, she's scared now," John said.

"I want to talk to her John, explain myself and what I did," Wade said.

"Wade, I already talked to Hunter and Stephanie, you won't be getting in any kind of trouble but they think it's best if you and Amy if you don't travel together anymore, she'll be with me," John said.

"Can I at least talk to her before we leave today?" Wade asked doubtful.

"I'll ask her and I'll let you know," John said.

"Sounds fair to me," Wade said and ended the call.

Amy woke up as she heard John screaming on the phone.

"Who was that on the phone?" Amy asked John.

"It was Wade," he said angrily.

"What did he want?" she asked curiously.

"He wants you back and he wants to talk to you about last night. Apologize, I guess," he said.

"I don't want to go back to him or talk about last night, it was horrible," she said.

John could sense the fear in her voice. He sat by her and hugged her very tight, he leaned in towards her to kiss her. John kissed her, she hadn't felt that way in a long time, she felt butterflies in her stomach as they kissed. It was like a fairytale that came true for her.

He smiled at her, "I'll protect you from now on, I won't let him touch you again the way he did, I promise."

She couldn't help but smile and she hugged him again for what he had done for her. Amy was grateful to have John in her life, she had no one else to confide in besides him.

"Thank you for what you did, you didn't have to defend or help me but you did, I'm very grateful."

He had a cute smile that showed off his dimples, "It was my pleasure to help you, I actually have something to tell you, I regret that I didn't tell you earlier. If I had told you, you wouldn't be in this situation with Wade."

As he was about to speak, there was a knock on John's door. He opened the door only to find Kelly Kelly there.

"Hey John, did you forget about our brunch date today?"she asked flirtatiously.

"Oh yeah, I didn't forget...," he said as he scratched the back of his neck.

"I have to go anyway John, I have to get my things from my room and get a few things before the show tonight," Amy said.

Amy was making her way out of the room and he stopped her, "Hey, don't go, I'll get rid of her," he whispered.

"No, it looks like you already had plans and I don't want to ruin them, I'll see you later," she whispered back as left.

John held her hand again, "Don't go, please," he pleaded.

"It's fine, don't worry about me," she said as she let go of him.

"John, I'm going to get ready, I'll see you in a bit," Kelly said as she left his room.

John felt like a fool once again, he didn't tell Amy how he felt about her, he let her go that easily yet again when he should have gone after her. Kelly was good looking woman but she wasn't the same as Amy, Amy was different in many ways, he figured that's what attracted him to her. Amy was humble,

He felt it was right to let Kelly know that he was just interested in a friendship with her before the situation went out of control. He knew he had to find Amy and tell her everything, show him true feelings towards her, tell her how she makes him feel and how much he likes her before it was too late again.
