!Riinngggg Riinngggg Riinngggg!

My cellphone has been chiming the same unisons for ten minutes, all from Jack. I sat at my desk frustrated.

Damn, this guy doesn't know what ignoring is, does he?

Being annoyed of my ringtone, which I have to chamge later of annnoyance, I sighed, picking up the phone.

"Ella?"

And just like that, I loved my name. My heart fluttered and I didn't even remember why I was angry at him. This is Jack Johnson. The everyday guy, from everyday Omaha, and is my everyday crush.

Hah, everyday my ass.

"I'm so sorry for getting you in trouble." Oh yeah. Now I remember why I'm upset.

"They wouldn't leave me alone, Jack."

"I know, I know, I'm sorry baby I-"

Baby? Baby?! Well, there goes my heart. It was a pleasure knowing you. My smile grew, hurting and aching from the stretch.

I heard a cough on the other end, bringing me back to reality.

"It's okay."

"No it isn't. It's my fault that they won't leave you alone and they never will. I don't want you to go what I go through, you won't have any privacy and-"

"Johnson!" I shut him up. He didn't respond, hinting at me to continue.

However I didn't know what to say. Shit, how could I have come this far into stopping the conversation, and not know what the hell to say. Am I taking too long? What if he continues ranting. I have to say something.

"How's my phone?"

I mentally smacked myself in the forehead. How's my phone? Could I be more of a loser?

A heart fluttering chuckle was heard from the other end, followed by words that could make any girl melt.

"You're so cute."
