'if your voice hadn't fucked up you would've had an encore!!' their manager yelled at michael, whose eyes were turned down to the floor. michael was sick and starting to lose his voice, making his voice crack multiple times on stage.
'i'm-i'm sorry..' he said, glancing up at him, his eyes watery. their manager sighed, knowing what happened when michael started crying; he never stopped until hours later.
'go get some rest.' he ruffled his red hair before walking away, leaving the small boy's face in a waterfall.

so it's later at night and luke calum and ashton are all laughing at the movie they're watching, ashton wondering what his boyfriend was doing. he hadn't seen him in hours.
'where's mike?'
luke and calum furrowed their eyebrows.
'don't know.'
he got up and walked toward the back of their bus, hearing faint sniffles but not knowing from where. he looked at his bunk, seeing the closed curtain and sighed.
'mikey?'
he pulled the curtain back and was met with red hair sticking out from a pillow, his face buried in it.
'baby, hey what's wrong?'
'i-i fucking sucked.'
'what?'
he picked his head up, exposing his red eyes.
'd-did you not hear m-my voice crack?' he mumbled. ashton cocked an eyebrow.
'mikey, the show was..' he checked his phone. 'three hours ago.'
'check twitter.' he let out a sob before closing his curtain, ashton sighing. he pulled out his phone, refreshing his feed, before the same topic came up, a million times.
'OMG MICHAELS VOICE CRACKED HHAHAHAHAH!!'
'well that was awkward.'
'damn his voice sucks.'
'CMON EVEN I CAN SING BETTER THAN THAT!!'
'michael..' he sighed, reopening the curtain. he climbed up in his bunk, taking the smaller boy in his arms as he sobbed into his chest.
'shh baby it's okay..they're just haters.'
'haters who are right ashy.'
ashton sighed, running his fingers through his hair, before noticing what was on his forearm.
'baby, no.' he whispered, taking it in his fingers. 'you promised you would stop baby..'
'i'm sorry a-ash.' he whispered.
